Topol unveils Lettr transactional email tool for Laravel

Tue, 17th Feb 2026

Topol.io has launched Lettr, a transactional email platform for teams building products on the Laravel framework. It combines a code-based integration for developers with a visual template workflow for non-developers.

Lettr joins Topol, the company's drag-and-drop email editor, and uses infrastructure from Ecomail, an email platform founded in 2014. Ecomail serves more than 12,000 organisations, while Topol says its editor is used by more than 40,000 companies.

Lettr enters a crowded transactional email market, where teams often rely on providers that host tracking links and email assets on shared vendor domains. It positions itself as an alternative for organisations that want tighter control over tracking and hosted-content domains, and for teams that need faster content updates without developer involvement.

Domain control

Topol points to two common problems in transactional email workflows: limited control over customer-facing elements such as tracked links and hosted assets, and template changes that require code edits and pull developers into routine content updates.

Lettr offers first-party domain controls for tracking and hosted assets, and supports using a team's own domains for sending, tracking, inbound replies, and asset storage. Topol presents this as a way to keep emails on-brand and give teams more control over deliverability settings.

These features typically require operational work such as DNS configuration, routing, and certificate management. Topol ties this to Ecomail's existing setup, saying Ecomail has spent 12 years building systems used for these configurations.

Lettr also offers dedicated IP pools and custom rate limits for high-volume senders, aimed at organisations that want more control over sending configuration and throughput.

Workflow split

Lettr integrates with Laravel with a single command, according to Topol. It is designed around a split between development and content responsibilities.

Developers define trigger conditions and sending logic in code, while non-developers edit templates in Topol's visual editor. The workflow includes drafts, publishing, and version control, which Topol says lets product and marketing teams manage changes without waiting for developers.

Topol was developed inside Ecomail before becoming a standalone company. Its editor is included in Lettr as the interface for template editing and management.

Transactional only

Lettr focuses on transactional email and does not include bulk sending or contact-list imports. That places it in a narrower category than marketing automation platforms, which often combine newsletters, lifecycle campaigns, and system messages in one product.

"We kept Lettr transactional-only because mixing marketing and transactional workflows usually creates complexity where teams least want it," said Jakub Gause, Head of Development at Lettr and Topol.

He also outlined the initial framework focus. "We're also focusing on Laravel first because it's one of the most popular frameworks for shipping SaaS products quickly. We'll expand to other ecosystems over time," Gause said.

Developer features

For teams already sending transactional messages from Laravel applications, Topol says Lettr is designed to make provider changes less disruptive by reducing the number of code changes required during migration.

Teams can keep existing templates, including HTML output generated by React Email, and move future edits into Lettr's workflow. For engineering teams, Lettr includes event webhooks for accepted, delivered, delayed, bounced, opened, clicked, and spam events, plus 90-day API logs for troubleshooting and optional type-safe mail objects.

Template management

On the template side, Lettr includes a library of common transactional emails, multilingual template management, dynamic placeholders, and analytics focused on lifecycle performance.

A feature called synced sections is designed to reduce repetitive updates across templates by letting teams maintain a master section and propagate changes wherever it appears.

Pricing and portfolio

Paid plans start at $15 per month for 50,000 emails per month, with enterprise pricing available. A free plan covers up to 3,000 emails per month.

Lettr is the latest standalone tool linked to the Ecomail ecosystem, which also includes DMARCeye, a DMARC monitoring and reporting product. The companies also refer to a broader grouping called Big Good, described as an Ecomail-led ecosystem spanning email communication, content, security, and design.

"Lettr represents the same philosophy that drove the spinout of Topol and DMARCeye: it's a lightweight tool that solves a specific problem extremely well, without bloated complexity or functionality that overlaps with other tools," said Jakub Stupka, Co-founder at Ecomail, Topol, and DMARCeye. "As new market needs arise, Ecomail and Topol will keep spinning out specialized, standalone products based on our intimate knowledge of email infrastructure."

The company says additional tools are in development and will be released under the Big Good umbrella.
