Logpoint & G'Secure Labs forge cybersecurity partnership

Wed, 11th Sep 2024

Logpoint has announced a strategic partnership with G'Secure Labs, aimed at enhancing the cybersecurity defences of organisations amidst growing cyber threats, skill shortages, and stringent regulatory demands.

The collaboration will see G'Secure Labs employing Logpoint's Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) with Automation, Case Management, and Behaviour Analytics features.

This integration aims to bolster G’Secure Labs’ Security Operations Centre as a Service (SOCaaS) offerings, thereby improving log management, threat detection, and incident response for their clients.

The global cybersecurity industry is currently grappling with a significant talent shortage. According to the World Economic Forum, there is a deficit of 4 million professionals worldwide. Concurrently, the complexity and frequency of cyberattacks are rising, creating substantial challenges in detecting and mitigating security breaches. Moreover, the European Union's evolving regulatory landscape, including the Network and Information Security (NIS) 2 directive and the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), imposes additional pressures on organisations to maintain secure IT systems and report breaches promptly.

Harish Shukla, SOC Services & Cyber Security Lead at G'Secure Labs, highlighted the importance of the partnership given the current market conditions.

"The Nordic market holds significant potential for security operations services, driven by increasing digitalisation and stringent regulatory requirements," Shukla said.

"The introduction of stringent regulatory controls on data security has encouraged companies to reevaluate their current security posture and enhance their cyber security programme. Together with Logpoint, we can elevate our customers’ cybersecurity posture and manage the increased compliance requirements."

G'Secure Labs provides a comprehensive suite of information security and cybersecurity consulting services, including Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services.

By leveraging Logpoint's products, G’Secure Labs aims to make regulatory compliance more manageable, deliver actionable insights for responding to security events, and tailor their security operations to match their customers' maturity levels.

Fredrik Jubran, Logpoint Regional Manager MSSPs, elaborated on the benefits of the partnership.

"Joining forces with a recognised MSSP provider like G’Secure Labs makes it easy for customers to achieve the security outcomes they’re looking for with less operational overhead," Jubran stated.

"G’Secure Labs’ elite team of cybersecurity experts, equipped with our easy-to-use and advanced products, can efficiently boost cyber resilience for organisations so they can shift their focus from cybersecurity challenges to driving their business forward."

Logpoint, known for its robust SIEM solutions, focuses on helping organisations collect and analyse security data to detect, investigate, and respond to cyberattacks more efficiently.

The company prides itself on its ability to assist organisations in staying compliant with various data and cybersecurity regulations, including NIS 2 and GDPR.

Logpoint's position as the only European SIEM vendor with a Common Criteria EAL3+ certification underscores its commitment to high data protection standards and robust system resilience against emerging threats.
