One Identity names Michael Henricks Finance & Ops Chief
One Identity has appointed Michael Henricks as Chief Financial and Operating Officer, combining finance and operations leadership as the identity security supplier expands.
The new role is intended to bring financial leadership closer to operational decision-making as the business scales. Henricks joins as identity security products draw increased attention from large organisations seeking tighter control over user access and privileged accounts.
Henricks has more than 30 years of experience across technology, business services and financial services. He has held senior finance roles at private equity-backed and technology-focused companies.
Most recently, he was CEO of Momentive Software and previously served as CFO at the company. One Identity said he has worked with executive teams on operating discipline and decision-making.
Role remit
Henricks will lead core finance functions, strategic planning, and the connection between operations and financial management. He will oversee global finance operations, with responsibility for financial planning, operational efficiency and long-term strategy.
CEO Praerit Garg described the appointment as part of a broader effort to align investment and operations as the company grows.
"As One Identity accelerates its growth, the addition of a Chief Financial and Operating Officer will strengthen how we plan, operate, and invest across the business," Garg said.
He also pointed to shifting customer requirements as identity security becomes more central in modern IT environments.
"As identity security becomes fundamental to how organizations operate, our focus is on making it simpler, more resilient, and easier to deploy at scale. Michael brings deep experience guiding companies through periods of rapid growth, operational change, and complexity. His leadership will be critical as we continue to serve and delight our customers worldwide," Garg said.
Market context
Identity security covers the tools and processes that control who can access systems and data, and under what conditions. It typically spans identity governance and administration, privileged access management and access management. These areas often attract executive attention after breaches or compliance failures, and can gain priority during cloud migrations and application modernisation projects.
One Identity sells identity security software with a mix of deployment options, including self-managed and managed approaches. It also supports customer environments that blend cloud services with on-premises systems.
One Identity said its products are used by more than 11,000 organisations and that it manages more than 500 million identities for customers, including employees, contractors, partners and service accounts.
It also cited a customer satisfaction score of 97 percent and said it is investing in leadership, product development and go-to-market execution as it scales.
Henricks' focus
Henricks described identity as central to how organisations manage security and trust in digital systems, and highlighted the operational demands on platforms that sit in critical paths for access and authentication.
"One Identity sits at the heart of how modern organizations operate securely, and that's what makes this role so compelling," Henricks said.
He added: "With identity as the foundation for digital trust, customers need platforms that are not only secure, but reliable, scalable, and built for real-world complexity. I'm excited to join a team that has earned deep trust in the market and to help ensure the business continues to deliver for customers as they grow, modernize, and adapt."
The appointment comes as identity security suppliers face rising expectations around service reliability and deployment choices, as organisations adopt SaaS-first strategies, apply automation to IT and security operations, and maintain hybrid estates.
One Identity said Henricks will work across planning and operational execution as the company expands its footprint and continues to build its global customer base.
