Yesterday

The appointment of Alan Paton as the new Chief Executive Officer of Qodea has been announced.

Qodea is recognised as Europe's largest Google Cloud digital transformation partner. The company experienced a significant year of growth in 2024, which came after a strategic merger between CTS and Appsbroker in 2023, and the subsequent acquisition of cyber specialists, tmc3. Alan Paton's arrival as CEO is expected to usher in a further phase of expansion for the firm.

In his first public comments since taking the role, Paton said, "I am excited to be taking this leadership role and to be working with a superlative team of engineering talent. I am a Google evangelist. I believe in the transformational power of the technology when coupled with dedicated on the ground expertise. My mission is simple. I want leading companies in the UK and Europe to know that, when they need to deploy Google Cloud, they need Qodea." Paton is expected to leverage his experience to strengthen Qodea's positioning in the market.

Alan Paton joins Qodea with an extensive background, having previously served as an equity partner at PWC. He also held the position of Managing Director and FS Industry Lead EMEA at Google, and prior to that, served as Managing Director for Financial Services at Accenture. His background spans the financial services sector and includes substantial experience in various other industries, both within the UK and internationally.

Mike Wilkinson, Managing Director of Marlin Equity Partners London, which is a primary investor in Qodea, remarked, "We are delighted to welcome Alan to the Qodea family at a time of growth in market demand for deep engineering expertise in digital transformation. He brings breadth of proven delivery capability heading major projects for world class clients, and he has a deep knowledge of Google technology and culture. We are confident that his leadership will take Qodea forward at pace into the next stage of the growth journey."

Qodea, established through the merger of Appsbroker and CTS towards the end of 2023, focuses on providing cloud solutions, data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cyber security. The company has earned recognition for its contributions in digital transformation across multiple industries including finance, manufacturing, and retail, serving notable clients such as DPD, Travis Perkins, BT Group, GSK, Booking.com, and Sky.
