Tollring secures Microsoft Teams compliance nod for Analytics 365 product

Fri, 12th Dec 2025

Tollring has secured certification for its Analytics 365 product on the latest Microsoft Teams policy-based compliance recording standard.

The approval places the UK-based communications analytics company among a limited group of providers that meet Microsoft's updated quality, security and compliance requirements for Teams recording.

Analytics 365 provides policy-based recording for Microsoft Teams. It also applies AI-based analysis to recorded conversations.

Recordings within Analytics 365 are encrypted and time-stamped. The system protects files against unauthorised modification and maintains audit trails that log every retrieval or export.

These features support data integrity across recorded interactions. They also give organisations detailed records when regulators request evidence.

The product includes participant-level access controls. These controls allow individuals to review only the parts of a recording in which they participated.

Tollring said this structure supports GDPR requirements and evidential duties. It also gives compliance teams a more precise view of access rights around voice and video data.

Audit and discovery

The compliance recording system includes built-in audit and discovery tools. Teams can search and retrieve recordings using metadata, time ranges, participants or policy criteria.

These tools allow compliance officers, legal departments and investigators to answer internal and external information requests in a uniform way. They also simplify the tracing of specific conversations or events across large archives.

The certification aligns Analytics 365 with Microsoft's standards for policy-based recording. It also follows a series of recent recognitions for Tollring's other Teams-focused analytics products.

Microsoft ecosystem

Tollring is part of the Microsoft Independent Software Vendor programme. The company said the latest certification reinforces its alignment with Microsoft's collaboration and cloud platforms.

"As a member of the Microsoft ISV programme, achieving these certifications is a considerable accomplishment that sets us apart in the market. It demonstrates Tollring's commitment to the Microsoft ecosystem, underpinned by rigorous testing, comprehensive technical audits and customer validation. Our enterprise-grade AI powered solutions can give customers complete confidence that the software will deliver on their needs," said Tony Martino, CEO, Tollring.

Microsoft's compliance recording framework for Teams sets rules for how third-party solutions capture and manage regulated communications. It covers policy controls, security, privacy and availability.

Vendors must pass a structured review before Microsoft lists them as certified for compliance recording on Teams. The process assesses recording behaviour, data protection measures and integration with Teams policy engines.

Wider certifications

The latest approval for compliance recording follows two earlier certifications for Analytics 365 modules. Microsoft granted an AI Cloud Partner Programme certified software designation for Azure to Analytics 365 Call Analytics. It also certified the Analytics 365 Collaboration Analytics app in the Microsoft Marketplace for Teams.

These certifications span voice call data and collaboration usage data in Teams. They extend Tollring's presence across different categories of Microsoft's marketplace.

The full set of Analytics 365 products now carries multiple Microsoft recognitions. This includes compliance recording, AI-based conversation analytics, call analytics and collaboration analytics.

Microsoft has also made the Analytics 365 suite Azure IP Co-Sell Eligible. Customers that buy these products through Microsoft can offset Azure Consumption Commitments under MACC arrangements.

The Analytics 365 suite is available through the Microsoft Marketplace. Customers can purchase compliance recording and analytics tools through the same channel as other Teams and Azure software.

Tollring positions the Analytics 365 suite as a single environment for compliance, performance visibility and customer insight across communications. The company said this aligns with organisations that standardise on Microsoft 365 and Azure for collaboration and infrastructure.

Market focus

Tollring develops cloud software from offices in the UK, USA, India and Australia. Its products cover business intelligence, communications analytics and call centre analytics.

The company also offers AI-based conversation analysis, voice recording, fraud protection and scam detection tools. It distributes software directly and through a channel partner network.

Tollring reports that its solutions are in use at more than 22,000 businesses worldwide. These span a range of industry sectors and organisation sizes.

The company said it will continue to invest in AI labs for communications data. It plans further development of analytics and recording products on the Microsoft cloud stack.
