AccountsIQ integrates non-financial KPIs for unified reporting
AccountsIQ has launched a Non-Financial Metrics feature for its AIQ3 platform, enabling finance teams to track both financial and operational indicators within a single system.
The introduction of the new feature allows users to analyse non-financial key performance indicators (KPIs) alongside traditional financial data, which previously required manual consolidation using external tools such as Excel or Power BI. By centralising this data, AccountsIQ aims to provide organisations with deeper insights into the drivers behind revenue, costs, and efficiency.
Integrated reporting
The Non-Financial Metrics feature enables users to define and configure their own KPIs directly within the AccountsIQ system. Finance professionals can set the details and measurement units for each metric, link them with items from the general ledger, and monitor all data within a unified dashboard. The enhancement also offers extended reporting capabilities, including analysis by reporting period, all accessible from a central point within the AIQ3 platform.
Describing the motivation behind the new feature, AccountsIQ's Chief Executive Officer, Darren Cran, said:
"With Non-Financial Metrics, we've eliminated one of the biggest frustrations for finance teams: the need to piece together operational and financial data outside the system. Businesses can now see their full performance story - from revenue and costs to headcount, win ratios or occupancy - all in one place. This makes reporting faster, decision-making sharper, and strategic planning far more effective. It's about giving finance teams the intelligence they need, when they need it, without adding complexity."
The latest development follows the company's recent launch of its Approval Workflow function. AccountsIQ is also offering a migration plan for users of the previous Statistics module, aiming to streamline transitions, reduce technical debt, and improve the overall user experience.
Flexible for multiple sectors
The Non-Financial Metrics tool is designed to be configurable for businesses in a variety of industries. Technology companies may use the feature to track metrics such as marketing qualified leads, win ratios, or customer conversions. For those in hospitality, it could revolve around monitoring occupancy rates or departmental performance. Meanwhile, HR-focused organisations are able to combine workflow data from payroll journals with headcount numbers, supporting a detailed understanding of workforce-related costs.
By having all relevant metrics integrated within the AIQ3 platform, finance leaders are now able to connect operational drivers directly with financial outcomes, reducing reliance on complex third-party integrations.
Unified dashboard
The unified dashboard provided by the feature is intended to simplify and consolidate the process of performance measurement. Within this system, users can view both operational and financial KPIs simultaneously, eliminating the need for separate tracking or manual merging of data. The reporting suite also allows for request and distribution of customised reports, supporting diverse information requirements across different roles in an organisation.
For finance teams, this access to both types of metrics – financial and non-financial – in a single view supports faster, data-driven decision-making. The company says the aim is to equip finance teams with timely, accurate intelligence to inform their planning and reporting activities without additional complexity or administrative burden.
The release of Non-Financial Metrics forms part of AccountsIQ's broader strategy to update accounting solutions for mid-sized businesses. The company supports more than 35,000 users worldwide and has offices in Dublin and London.
