Argenbright Security picks Totalmobile for UK workforce

Thu, 26th Mar 2026

Argenbright Security has selected Totalmobile's Field First platform for its UK workforce operations, with a focus on improving scheduling resilience across its security services.

The company chose the system after reviewing existing tools that could no longer support the level of real-time change its operations require. Urgent call-outs, late schedule changes and routine workforce planning had become harder to manage with older systems.

The platform is intended to give service managers real-time visibility of workforce availability and job progress. It will also support skills-based assignment and reporting for teams working under regulatory and contractual requirements.

Security providers have faced sustained pressure from staffing shortages, rising costs and higher service expectations. That has led many operators to reassess how they deploy field teams and whether older planning systems can cope with live operational changes.

Operational changes

For Argenbright Security, the immediate focus is day-to-day workforce management. The new system is expected to help managers redeploy officers more quickly when operational needs change.

This is a core issue for private security operators, where shift patterns can change at short notice and customer sites may need extra cover with little warning. In those conditions, visibility of available staff and active jobs can affect both service continuity and compliance.

Marc Stanton, Managing Director, Argenbright Security Europe, said the move followed the limits of the company's previous approach to workforce oversight.

"Totalmobile gives us the ability to manage our workforce with a level of clarity and control we simply couldn't achieve before. Their dynamic scheduling and insight capabilities will allow us to respond faster, operate more efficiently, and deliver an even higher standard of service to our clients. This partnership is a key enabler of our long-term growth and operational excellence," Stanton said.

Totalmobile provides software for managing mobile and field-based workforces. Its Field First platform supports scheduling and workforce oversight in services where managers need to respond to disruption during the working day.

Sector pressure

The deal reflects wider changes in how labour-intensive service businesses manage field operations. Across the UK security market, employers are balancing cost control with customer demands for faster responses and more consistent cover.

Static planning tools and disconnected systems have become a growing issue in sectors where work is dispersed and staffing needs can shift hour by hour. Companies are increasingly seeking single platforms that bring scheduling, deployment and reporting into one operational view.

For security firms, that includes assigning staff according to licences, site requirements and contractual terms, while also dealing with absences, emergency call-outs and changing customer instructions. Systems that provide live status information can reduce the need for manual intervention from control rooms and local managers.

Rob Gilbert, Managing Director of Commercial Services, Totalmobile, said he sees a broader need for real-time oversight in the sector.

"Security operations rely on accurate, real-time coordination. Our platform is designed to give teams greater control and insight over daily operations, helping organisations like ASEL respond swiftly to disruption, reduce manual processes and maintain service reliability as demand increases," Gilbert said.

Argenbright Security's decision highlights how workforce management software is becoming a more visible part of service delivery in private security, where the ability to adjust staffing in real time can be as important as the number of officers on duty.
