BigCommerce partners with Ecommpay to enhance payment solutions

Wed, 26th Jun 2024

Ecommpay has announced a partnership with BigCommerce, integrating its end-to-end payment platform with the e-commerce service.

This collaboration aims to provide merchants in the UK and the EMEA region with a sophisticated payment solution designed to minimise payment processing costs and enhance operational efficiency.

BigCommerce, recognised as a prominent open SaaS and composable e-commerce platform, supports tens of thousands of online stores in over 150 countries worldwide. Through this partnership, merchants using BigCommerce will be able to benefit from Ecommpay’s advanced payment system, which includes features such as intelligent routing and cascading to increase approval rates and improve the checkout experience. Additionally, the system ensures secure payments.

The newly introduced plugin allows merchants to upgrade their payment systems without experiencing any downtime. The integration process is simplified, enabling merchants to offer an array of global and local payment methods. These include PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Ecommpay’s Open Banking solution, as well as Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) options like Klarna and PayPal Credit, and Direct Debit.

The BigCommerce payment app plugin is designed to be highly configurable and requires no coding expertise from the users. Additionally, a hosted payment page by Ecommpay will have the capability to securely source card details. Customers will have access to round-the-clock human support.

Rosanna Helm-Visscher, Head of Commercial Partnerships at Ecommpay, commented on the partnership, stating, "BigCommerce has been rapidly expanding in the European market, and with us sharing similar customer profiles across the UK and Europe, partnering with this commerce solution provider is the perfect way to strengthen our capabilities when it comes to integrating CMS systems." She further highlighted the company's commitment, saying, "Our priority is always to give merchants as much choice as possible, allowing them to accept payments through their preferred e-commerce solutions. By connecting their store to our all-in-one payment infrastructure, merchants can benefit from uninterrupted revenue flow, and a built-in house risk control system with customisable filters."

The plugin is readily available on the BigCommerce App Store.

Michaela Weber, General Manager of Payments and Vice President of Global Business Development at BigCommerce, also spoke on the partnership, stating, "Our partnership with Ecommpay further illustrates our commitment to providing customers access to the highest calibre payment technologies available in the industry. Ecommpay shares our desire to help brands and retailers sell more and grow faster to maximise success, and we look forward to working together to mutually support customers."
