Clari unveils revolutionary tools for seamless revenue management

Tue, 14th May 2024

Clari, the well-regarded Revenue Platform, has revealed pioneering solutions that empower revenue leaders to precisely forecast and predict across diverse business models and arm sales representatives with tools to generate, convert, and generate greater revenue. The company unveiled these offerings at Charge: The Revenue Summit, an important gathering for all revenue-critical employees who need to implement consistent revenue cadences, avoid revenue leakage, and garner more revenue.

Clari's Forecast for Consumption model is designed to answer the challenges posed by consumption revenue models, which, although they yield significant business and customer satisfaction advantages, are the most difficult to manage, forecast, and predict. Companies often combine data from their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and data warehouse, create ad-hoc reports in Excel, and customise views using Business Intelligence (BI) tools. This typically results in a consumption forecast that is woefully inaccurate and engenders inefficiencies across the entire revenue team. Results reveal a 14.9% annual loss on average due to revenue leaks and failures in the revenue process, resulting in earnings yet to be captured, a situation worsened by the complexity of the consumption revenue model.

Clari's Forecast for Consumption answers these challenges by centralising account planning and quarterly projections previously carried out using disparate tools. The solution envelops the entire revenue process and all revenue models, transforming an unpredictable revenue figure into a predictable forecast that promotes accountability across the revenue funnel. This streamlines customer base maintenance and growth whilst simplifying and scaling across the enterprise.

Beyond the Forecast for Consumption, the new Clari Enterprise Suite features include Consolidated Views in Clari Forecast, which combines revenue insights across multiple CRM instances; Forecast Config in Clari Studio, enabling teams to formulate, create, test, and deploy various forecast models; and new data sources in Clari Ingest which collects usage and spending data from third-party databases, such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and Databricks into RevDB to facilitate visualisation and growth of real-time consumption-based revenue.

Rohit Shrivastava, Chief Product Officer at Clari, spoke about the challenges businesses face with increasingly complex business models. He said, "All too often, this hard-to-manage complexity leads to revenue leaks." However, he iterated, "That all changes today with the introduction of Clari Forecast for Consumption and Revenue Execution delivered through the unified Clari Revenue Platform. These new solutions give organisations the tools they need to make complex revenue models easy to understand and forecast, empower reps and frontline managers with prescriptive sales execution, and leverage AI to drive higher team attainment."

While Clari's new solutions simplify complexities for revenue leaders, they also offer respite for frontline reps, typically overwhelmed with administrative tasks that steal time from customers and prospects. Clari's Revenue Execution solution helps reps by providing comprehensive AI-driven execution tools, from prospecting and engagement to customer collaboration and mutual action plans.

Collin Rhea, VP of Sales Operations and Enablement at Aptean, commented on his experiences with Clari's platform. He noted, "Speaking from the context of someone who just bet the farm on consolidating into Clari’s full platform, Revenue Execution is confidence-building in the premise of you can only do this type of workflow automation on the consolidated Clari Revenue Platform."

In addition to these solutions, Clari's recent milestones include a strategic alliance with Deloitte Digital, considerable updates to RevAI, and surpassing more than USD $4 trillion in revenue under management.
