Ecommpay scoops dual FSTech Awards for fraud & access
Ecommpay has won two categories at the FSTech Awards 2026 in London, taking prizes for Anti-fraud Solution of the Year and Financial Inclusion.
The awards recognise technology and innovation in financial services across the UK and EMEA. Organisers said judges looked for solutions that demonstrate innovation, address a clear issue, and deliver benefits for end users.
Miranda McLean, Ecommpay's chief marketing officer, linked the wins to the company's work on payments products and its focus on security and access.
"It is an absolute honour to receive the Anti-fraud Solution of the Year Award and Financial Inclusion Award. Both awards demonstrate the commitment that the business has put into developing and improving our payments offering by expanding the solutions and payment methods available to our merchant customers, as well as making every payment secure and accessible.
"Last year we took home the Payments Innovation of the Year Award, so to win again this year in two other prestigious categories is a huge achievement. Our entire team has worked hard to deliver accessible and inclusive payment solutions that help empower businesses and drive growth. These awards recognise the genuine positive impact that the innovative Ecommpay solutions are having across the industry today." said McLean.
Platform focus
Ecommpay operates a payments platform used by merchants for eCommerce transactions. It is headquartered in London and was founded in 2012.
The business offers acquiring services and payment processing. It also provides payment orchestration through a single API and supports more than 100 payment methods.
Fraud and inclusion
The Anti-fraud Solution of the Year award places Ecommpay among suppliers that position fraud controls as a differentiator for merchants. Payment fraud remains a persistent cost for online businesses, with card-not-present transactions under continuing pressure from account takeover and social engineering.
The Financial Inclusion award recognises work linked to access and usability in financial services. In payments, inclusion often relates to the breadth of payment methods and acceptance across markets, as well as how customers authenticate transactions.
Ecommpay describes itself as an inclusive payments provider, with products designed to make payments more secure and accessible.
Regulatory standing
In the UK, Ecommpay is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 to provide payment services. It is also a principal member of Mastercard and Visa.
Its payment platform is certified to Level 1 PCI DSS, a security standard for card data handling. Many payment providers use the certification as a baseline for working with card networks and large merchants.
Awards circuit
The FSTech Awards have become a regular fixture for fintech suppliers and incumbent financial services groups in the region. Category wins can signal credibility to prospective clients and partners, particularly in areas such as risk controls and accessibility, where performance is harder to assess from product descriptions alone.
Ecommpay previously won Payments Innovation of the Year in the same awards programme. McLean said the latest recognition reflects the work delivered by the company's teams and the impact it believes its products are having in the market.
The company plans further development of its payments offering, with work continuing across orchestration, open banking, recurring billing, and direct debits as part of the same platform.
