EYSA acquires Joinup in push into corporate mobility
Tue, 6th Oct 2026 (Today)
EYSA has acquired corporate mobility platform Joinup, adding its business travel software to EYSA's broader transport technology operations.
The deal is part of EYSA's €300 million growth and investment plan to expand internationally and broaden its offering to businesses and institutions. Joinup operates a business-to-business platform used by more than 1,000 organisations across Spain, France, Belgium and Portugal.
The acquisition brings together two companies serving different parts of the mobility market. EYSA operates across parking, tolling, traffic management, low-emission zones, enforcement systems, public transport ticketing and digital mobility platforms. Joinup focuses on corporate ground transport and related services for employers.
Joinup's platform lets companies manage taxi services, event and group transport, parking, electric vehicle charging, mileage and carpooling through a single application and back-office system. It also centralises billing, spending controls and travel data for corporate customers.
EYSA operates in more than 30 countries and over 235 cities, and generated more than €200 million in revenue in 2024. Tikehau Capital became a shareholder alongside EYSA's management team through its private equity decarbonisation strategy.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen EYSA's position in corporate, digital and multimodal mobility. It also extends the company's reach in the corporate and institutional market, where customers are increasingly seeking systems that combine transport booking, payment, administration and reporting in one platform.
Platform expansion
Founded in 2012, Joinup is backed by private investors including Big Sur Ventures and Fides Capital. It said it passed 1,000 active customers in 2025, serving listed groups, multinationals, hospitals, universities and public-sector bodies.
Its transport network includes more than 25,000 taxis, with more than 85% classified as ECO or electric vehicles. The platform also provides access to more than 2,300 parking facilities and more than 40,000 electric vehicle charging points.
The deal reflects a broader shift in the mobility sector, as providers move beyond single services towards software platforms that combine multiple functions for employers and public bodies. Buyers are increasingly looking for tools that can manage employee travel, fleets, costs and emissions in one place.
For EYSA, the acquisition adds a more direct presence in day-to-day corporate mobility management. Its existing operations span infrastructure, regulation, services, operators and users across several transport markets and mobility segments.
Javier Delgado, Chief Executive Officer of EYSA, said the deal would broaden the company's offering.
"Companies increasingly need solutions that allow them to manage employee mobility in an integrated way, control costs, manage fleets and reduce their environmental impact. Combining Joinup with EYSA's capabilities enables us to offer a significantly broader proposition, bringing together corporate mobility, public transport, emissions management, EV charging and fleet management, with a direct impact on business efficiency and sustainability," said Javier Delgado, Chief Executive Officer of EYSA.
Growth plans
EYSA is pursuing international expansion under its €300 million plan, aiming to increase scale, enter new markets and add strategic areas to the business. The acquisition of Joinup supports that strategy by giving EYSA a platform already established in several European markets.
Deloitte and Natixis Partners Iberia advised EYSA on the transaction, while DC Advisory advised Joinup's shareholders on the sale.
Joinup's leadership said the deal would give the business access to a larger platform and wider reach. The company was founded by Elena Peyró and Alberto López, and counts Telefónica, IKEA, Orange and Moeve among its customers.
"Joinup has grown by listening to companies and understanding the needs of people travelling every day. Becoming part of a company such as EYSA, with its experience, scale and technological capabilities, broadens our horizons and opens up an exciting new stage for the business. Together, we will be able to innovate faster, develop new solutions and expand alongside our customers," said Elena Peyró, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Joinup.
