Flywire has expanded its payments partnership with Davidson Hospitality Group across Davidson's property portfolio after an earlier deployment delivered processing fee savings, according to the companies.

Davidson is extending Flywire's payment processing and digital signature tools across its hotels and resorts, restaurants, and meeting venues. The system combines deposit collection and contract execution in a single mobile-based workflow for guests.

The expansion follows an initial deployment in which Davidson reduced payment processing costs within months, partly by increasing the use of ACH transfers instead of card payments. The broader rollout is also intended to reduce manual work for finance and property teams.

Flywire's software automates payment matching and reduces data entry between property management systems and accounting platforms. Davidson is also using digital authorisation tools that capture signed payment intent at the time of a transaction, creating an audit trail for disputes.

According to figures released by the companies, signature turnaround times fell by about 75% after the initial implementation. Back-office reconciliation work also declined, while cash collection cycles shortened as deposits and contracts were handled together.

Portfolio rollout

Davidson operates 88 hotels and resorts, more than 240 restaurants, bars, and lounges, and 1.4 million square feet of meeting space across the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. It works with major hotel brands including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Kimpton, Margaritaville, and Nobu.

Hospitality operators remain under pressure to simplify payment administration while managing card fees and chargebacks. For groups with large meetings and events businesses, delays in deposits, signed contracts, and reconciliation can affect both staffing time and working capital.

By adding ACH acceptance alongside credit and debit cards, Davidson is seeking to shift more transactions to lower-cost payment methods. The companies said this reduces the cost of each transaction and supports faster guest payment processing.

The dispute management process is also designed to lower chargeback risk. Flywire said its chargeback response operation records win or no-contest rates above 70% and maintains chargeback ratios below 0.03%.

Operational focus

The technology is designed to support both guest-facing and back-office processes. Guests get a wider choice of payment methods and faster confirmation, while staff spend less time matching payments to bookings and contracts.

This is particularly relevant for hospitality groups handling weddings, conferences, and group bookings, where payment schedules, signed approvals, and multiple systems often create delays. Combining those tasks in one workflow can remove several manual steps for sales, planning, and finance teams.

The companies also provided comments from both executives on the broader rollout.

"Flywire creates value for us as a partner because they built their platform specifically for hospitality operations - not as a generic payment processor. What we've seen is a real reduction in friction across both our revenue cycle and guest journey. Our teams spend less time on operational busywork and more time focusing on the guest experience," said Tim Debruin, Senior Corporate Director, Event Sales & Planning, Davidson Hospitality.

Flywire said the Davidson rollout reflects demand from travel and hospitality clients for payment tools that are more closely integrated with operating systems.

"We are thrilled to partner with Davidson and deliver value as they scale. Every property that engages sees a similar pattern - faster processing, better cash flow, happier guests. That's exactly the kind of partnership we want to continue building as they scale Flywire across their portfolio," said Colin Smyth, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Travel at Flywire.

Flywire supports more than 5,300 clients and offers payment methods in more than 140 currencies across 240 countries and territories. Beyond travel, it also serves education, healthcare, and business-to-business markets, where organisations are seeking to reduce payment friction and administrative work.
