Iplicit & MCS Rental Software integrate to boost rental finance

Wed, 19th Nov 2025

Cloud accounting provider iplicit has formed a partnership with MCS Rental Software, expanding its reach in the rental sector by integrating its finance system with MCS's suite of tools for rental businesses.

Sector integration

MCS Rental Software's products cover a wide range of rental processes, including CRM, quoting, purchase ordering, timesheets, and mobile applications. The new integration will allow users to connect these functions directly to iplicit's finance system, aiming for more efficient management of rental business finances.

The decision to integrate with iplicit followed requests from MCS Rental Software clients who had adopted iplicit as their finance solution. MCS sees growing demand from mid-sized rental businesses seeking to move away from systems that are either too basic or heavily customised and costly.

Financial operations

The high transaction volumes generated by rental operations require robust connections between operational and financial systems. MCS Rental Software states that the integration with iplicit will help ensure accurate accounting for transactions such as customer and supplier invoices, rehire costs, depreciation, and equipment financing.

Chris Clarke, Development Director at MCS Rental Software, explained the goals of the integration:

"Rental businesses rely on accurate financial information to manage complex operations and asset lifecycles. It is essential that every transaction, from customer and supplier invoices to rehire costs, depreciation, and equipment financing, is correctly accounted for. Our integration with iplicit ensures that all financial activity is captured seamlessly, providing clarity on cost of sales, credit limits, and outstanding balances," said Clarke, Development Director, MCS Rental Software.

Cloud platform

The partnership uses iplicit's cloud-based accounting platform, which is hosted on Microsoft Azure infrastructure. MCS Rental Software highlighted the importance of a secure and scalable architecture to support increasing customer demands. Clarke noted a positive experience working closely with the iplicit team throughout the integration and testing process.

"We've worked in close cooperation with iplicit. Its team has been there to see demos of our integration and make sure it's as good as it could be at each stage of development," said Clarke. "It's very rare to have that kind of feedback and partnership from a vendor. We're confident this will be a successful relationship for us and, more importantly, our customers."

Market positioning

Ben Crow, iplicit's Vice-President of Partnerships, outlined the type of organisations expected to benefit from the integration. Crow described the typical MCS Rental Software customer as one who has outgrown basic cloud solutions or is seeking to replace outdated server-based systems. Crow emphasised the shared customer base between both companies.

"Many of MCS Rental Software's customers are exactly the kinds that benefit the most from iplicit - expanding organisations that have outgrown the limits of basic cloud software or those that need to move away from outdated server-based systems. That makes iplicit and MCS Rental Software ideal partners," said Crow, Vice-President of Partnerships, iplicit.
