Kodak Alaris & ASL unite to boost UK's digital transformation
Kodak Alaris, known for its scanners and software solutions, has declared a new partnership with ASL, a leading managed office services supplier in the UK. This alliance signifies a leap forward in ASL's pursuit of providing top-tier technology solutions, as it adds Kodak Alaris's scanning and software solutions to its repertoire, fortified by professional services and support.
This collaboration comes in light of the increasing demands of customers for data conversion. Many organisations are looking to transform paper stacks into actionable digital data, thereby streamlining productivity and efficiency. To address these needs, ASL undertook an extensive review of the data capture market, scrutinising various vendor offerings in terms of hardware, software, and professional services.
Mark Asbridge, Solutions Sales Manager at ASL, explained the process, "This assessment phase is a key component of our partner selection and onboarding process." Noting that ASL is "committed to delivering best-in-class solutions and services", he said they had to ensure that a potential partner had both "a strong product offering and the ability to deliver consistent excellence" in support and professional services. Asbridge voiced his satisfaction with their new collaborator, stating that "Kodak Alaris clearly showcased its commitment to helping partners succeed through a combination of its comprehensive hardware and software solutions offering, deep technical expertise, pre- and post-sales support across project scoping and delivery, and ongoing after-sales service."
The partnership will see ASL offering a range of document scanners from Kodak Alaris, from standalone wireless and networked desktop devices to high-volume production models. Such scanners from Kodak Alaris incorporate user-friendly batch scanning, barcode and indexing capabilities, and feature advanced functions like Smart Touch technology, delivering the ease of one-touch scans and sends. ASL will also offer adjacent solutions from Kodak Alaris for clients with more complex capture requirements, including KODAK Capture Pro Software, which works symbiotically with any document scanner.
Touching upon the advantages of the partnership, Simon Whapshott, Marketing and Business Development Officer at ASL, said, "This partnership will enable us to open up new conversations around document management and help our customers fast-track their digital transformation, automate critical processes, and deliver customised workflows for business optimisation." He added that with Kodak Alaris being a dedicated specialist in scanner hardware and digital transformation (DX) software, ASL will now cover "the full spectrum of our customers' information management needs."
From Kodak Alaris's side, Mark Davies, Northern Cluster Sales Manager, expressed delight over the partnership. Anticipating the benefits of their union, he stated, "We look forward to supporting the team as they help customers eliminate manual processes, build digital workflows, reduce costs, and achieve critical efficiency gains across their organisations."
