LogRhythm sponsors 2023 Scottish Cyber Awards in support of UK cybersecurity
LogRhythm has recently sponsored the prestigious 2023 Scottish Cyber Awards. The sponsorship is seen as a strengthening of LogRhythm's support for cybersecurity innovation throughout the UK.
The awards serve to celebrate and encourage industry collaboration in an effort to enable more organisations to effectively navigate the modern threat landscape. It is hoped this will foster stronger cybersecurity resilience, as the frequency and sophistication of cyber attacks only continue to increase.
Distinguished guests in attendance included representatives from LogRhythm's cybersecurity partners such as Distology, BT, Softcat, Getronics and XMA. The event also served as an opportunity for emerging talent in Scotland to network and start their careers in cybersecurity. This included an IT undergraduate from Edinburgh Napier University, who now stands the opportunity to work a placement year in NHS Scotland's IT department, following the connections made at the event.
The Scottish Government's Keith McDevitt received the Lifetime Achievement Award during the gala, acknowledging his dedicated career spent building cyber resilience in Scotland. This accolade was sponsored by LogRhythm, highlighting their commitment to supporting longstanding contributors to the industry.
Kev Eley, VP of UK & Europe at LogRhythm, emphasised the importance of the event stating, "The Scottish Cyber Awards provides an excellent opportunity for the industry to come together and celebrate the efforts taken to strengthen the cybersecurity landscape in Scotland." He also congratulated Keith McDevitt on his achievement and lauded the "fantastic work being done by individuals and organisations across the board."
Coming together for the seventh year, the annual Scottish Cyber Awards are organised by the Cyber and Fraud Centre Scotland and recognise the leading educational and business talent in the country's cybersecurity field.
Emphasising the significance of the work celebrated at the awards, Jude McCorry, CEO of the Cyber and Fraud Centre Scotland, noted: "The innovation, ingenuity and dedication celebrated is more crucial now than ever. With the threat of cybercrime intensifying, we, the cybersecurity community, know that we have a battle ahead of us." McCorry stressed the need for industry figures to acknowledge their accomplishments and pull together in the face of increasing cyber threats.
LogRhythm, in addition to sponsoring key industry events, is also committed to providing new product innovations and integrations each quarter. The company recently introduced significant enhancements and expansion to LogRhythm Axon and the full suite of LogRhythm solutions, empowering Security Operation Centre teams to respond to and manage threats with greater efficiency.
