M Group Services rebrands to enhance infrastructure support

Yesterday

M Group Services is set to consolidate its operations under the single name of M Group, as part of a strategic move to enhance its service delivery across the UK and Ireland.

The change, effective from April 2025, sees the organisation integrate its GBP £2.5 billion portfolio into a unified entity. This transition signifies M Group's aim to present a coherent identity that embodies its scale and readiness to support clients with infrastructure maintenance, renewal, and innovation.

Highlighting its determination to tackle significant infrastructure challenges, M Group is committed to contributing to infrastructure development that benefits both society and the environment. Andrew Findlay, Chief Executive at M Group, commented: "Our new brand reflects our commitment to be the best and most effective partner for our clients. It captures our capacity and capability for maintaining, renewing and reimagining infrastructure to meet the challenges and demands of a changing world."

The consolidation also marks an evolution in M Group's values, emphasising inventiveness, environmental responsibility, safety, and client value. These values underpin the organisation's operations and continue to place importance on safety and responsibility.

M Group Services was initially formed from Morrison Utility Services in 2016, and since then, it has acquired over 20 businesses. This has grown the company to over 11,000 staff across more than 200 locations. Despite the rebranding, the expertise and commitment of the leadership and teams remain unchanged.

The new logo, inspired by the original 'M' from the Morrison era, encapsulates the brand's enduring legacy while projecting a modern identity. It features gradient colours and continuous, connected lines, which Andrew Findlay believes, "pulses with energy, reflecting M Group's role in keeping infrastructure moving in the UK and Ireland." The new strapline, 'essential infrastructure for life', aligns with M Group's vision of improving infrastructure quality for various stakeholders.

M Group anticipates a phased implementation of the new branding, starting with updates across locations, personnel protective equipment, and vehicles from April 2025 onwards. "Across M Group, we will continue building long lasting partnerships with all our clients to support future demands across infrastructure, confident we have the capabilities and deep expertise to continue to deliver at the pace of change the market demands," added Findlay.

Under the new structure, Morrison Water Services will rebrand as M Group Water, while M Group Energy will bring together Morrison Energy Services, Morrison Data Services, and Callisto. Similarly, M Group Telecom will integrate Morrison Telecom Services, Magdalene, Waldon Telecom, and Avonline. Formerly known as Milestone Infrastructure, M Group Highways will maintain its position as a leading highway maintenance entity, managing over 50,000 km of road.

M Group Rail & Aviation will include Dyer & Butler, KH Engineering, and Antagrade, focusing on complex projects across rail, aviation, and defence sectors. Certain entities like Seeka will retain their branding in the interim while newly acquired AgilityEco and BGEN will integrate progressively.

Findlay concluded, "Our new brand and values are a golden opportunity to look forward and be excited about what we can achieve for our clients in future. Our values – open, responsible, together, ambitious – are the cultural core of our organisation. They reflect who we want to be, creating phenomenal opportunities for professional and business growth."
