Napier AI has partnered with Delta Capita to offer combined KYC and AML compliance services to financial institutions. The tie-up links Napier AI's screening and monitoring tools with Delta Capita's Karbon client lifecycle management platform.

The arrangement is intended to address a common problem in banks and other financial firms, where onboarding, KYC and anti-money laundering functions often sit across separate systems, teams and processes. That fragmentation can slow customer onboarding, increase investigation workloads and add cost to compliance operations.

The partnership combines Delta Capita's managed services, consulting and advisory work with Napier AI Continuum Client Screening, Transaction Monitoring and Transaction Screening. The offering covers the compliance process from initial client onboarding through to ongoing monitoring and investigation.

For financial institutions, it aims to reduce repetitive work across teams and remove inconsistencies in how customers are handled during compliance checks. Closer integration of KYC and AML activities could also help firms manage high volumes of investigations and improve auditability.

Joining systems

KYC and AML functions have become an increasing operational challenge for financial institutions as regulatory demands rise and customer expectations for faster onboarding remain high. Many firms still rely on a patchwork of internal tools and external service providers, creating delays and making it harder to maintain a consistent view of customer risk.

Napier AI focuses on financial crime compliance software, while Delta Capita supplies technology, managed services and consulting to financial services clients. Through the partnership, the two are seeking to combine software tools with operational support rather than offer each in isolation.

That structure reflects a wider shift in the compliance market, where institutions are looking not only for software but also for outsourced support and specialist advice. For banks under pressure to control compliance spending, a bundled model can be attractive if it reduces manual intervention and duplicate reviews.

According to the companies, the integrated approach is intended to help institutions modernise both the technology underpinning their compliance functions and how those functions are delivered. Better-connected processes could reduce false positives in investigations and lower workloads for operations teams.

Executive comments

Greg Watson outlined Napier AI's view of the market pressures affecting clients.

"Financial institutions are under pressure to manage increasingly complex fincrime risks while simultaneously deliver faster, more accurate and seamless experiences for customers. Our partnership with Delta Capita brings together complementary technology and expertise to give institutions a more connected approach across the compliance lifecycle. By reducing manual handovers, this enables institutions to focus their resources on genuine risk, meaning they can achieve stronger customer, operational and regulatory outcomes," said Greg Watson at Napier AI.

The deal also extends the reach of Delta Capita's Karbon platform by pairing it with Napier AI's transaction monitoring and screening products. Karbon is used for client lifecycle management, including onboarding and KYC processes, and Delta Capita positions it alongside practitioner-led services.

That combination may appeal to institutions trying to avoid separate procurement exercises for onboarding technology, AML systems and external compliance support. It also reflects a market in which firms increasingly want joined-up workflows across customer due diligence and transaction surveillance.

Sean Vickers described the rationale from Delta Capita's side.

"Institutions crucially must understand who their customers are and maintain this understanding as relationships and risks evolve. Through our partnership with Napier AI, combining Continuum with our Karbon platform, we're able to create a compelling offering for institutions to transform both their systems and operating models, simplifying complex processes, improving processes and building compliance operations that are more efficient, accountable and scalable," said Sean Vickers at Delta Capita.

Napier AI says it works with more than 100 institutions worldwide across banking, payments, and wealth and asset management. Delta Capita says it has spent more than a decade providing consulting, managed services and technology to the financial services sector.

The partnership places both groups in a crowded compliance technology market, where providers compete to offer broader product offerings and deeper operational support as institutions seek to manage financial crime risk with fewer fragmented systems.
