NTT DATA to acquire Niveus for Google Cloud expansion

NTT DATA has announced its intent to acquire Niveus Solutions, a company specialising in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, to expand its capabilities in AI, data engineering, and cloud-native modernisation.

The acquisition aims to solidify NTT DATA's position as a leading global system integrator for Google Cloud, enhancing its ability to deliver transformative cloud solutions across various industries. Niveus Solutions will bring an additional 1,000 GCP experts to NTT DATA's Google Cloud Business Unit, boosting the company's capacity in areas such as GCP native modernisation, data engineering, and AI.

With expertise in sectors such as financial services, manufacturing, automotive, retail, and logistics, Niveus Solutions will strengthen NTT DATA's capability to deliver rapid development of customised industry-specific cloud platform solutions. This addition is expected to enhance the company's ability to tackle complex client challenges and deliver scalable, secure solutions globally.

This alliance is designed to deliver innovative solutions using NTT DATA's industry blueprints and best practices.

With the integration of Niveus Solutions, NTT DATA's dedicated Google Cloud Business Unit will be enhanced to deliver data analytics, GenAI, and cloud modernisation services more effectively. This aligns with the company's strategy to deliver secure, scalable industry-specific solutions globally.

Recognised for its success, Niveus Solutions was awarded the 2024 Google Cloud "Breakthrough Partner of the Year" for the Asia Pacific and "India Partner of the Year." These accolades are expected to bolster NTT DATA's leadership as the company seeks to expand its capabilities globally.

The acquisition is expected to close within 30-60 days, subject to customary closing conditions. Gartner, Inc. has forecast worldwide end-user spending on public cloud services to reach USD $679 billion in 2024, with projections exceeding USD $1 trillion in 2027. This underlines the importance of today's announcement in meeting evolving client needs in cloud modernisation, AI insights, and secure digital transformations.
