Wed, 29th May 2024

Paymentology has announced the appointment of Tim Joslyn as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Joslyn takes over the role from interim CTO James Letley. This leadership change marks a significant step in Paymentology's ongoing efforts to innovate and expand its offerings in the competitive payment solutions market.

Joslyn brings over 25 years of experience as a seasoned technologist, a journey that has seen him work across various domains in Europe. His extensive background includes pivotal roles with high-profile organisations such as Worldpay, Nets, ICBPI (Nexi), Concardis, Bain Capital, and Advent International. Over the past decade, Joslyn has been particularly focused on the payments industry, where he has contributed to several key projects aimed at transforming businesses for their next evolution.

In 2017, Joslyn co-founded Pollinate, a merchant acquiring company, where he served as CTO. He successfully spearheaded the development and launch of NatWest Tyl within a remarkable 12-month period, subsequently securing additional funding and broadening the company’s reach internationally. This included expansion to banks around the world, such as the National Australia Bank. Joslyn’s tenure at Pollinate highlighted his ability to lead technology and product teams effectively, driving innovation and rapid growth.

His career also includes senior technical roles with renowned firms like Ernst & Young, Vocalink, and Old Mutual, where he led several post-merger integration initiatives and worked closely with private equity firms on numerous transactions. This multifaceted experience positions Joslyn as a formidable presence in the financial technology landscape.

Jeff Parker, CEO of Paymentology, expressed his enthusiasm about Joslyn’s appointment. “At Paymentology, we’re at an incredibly exciting time in our growth journey. As we strive to reach new heights and continue to deliver our leading next-generation payments on a global scale, having the right talent in key positions is paramount. Tim's reputation as a leading technology specialist precedes him, and his wealth of insight and experience is precisely what we need to accelerate our progress,” Parker stated.

Joslyn himself conveyed a strong sense of optimism and commitment as he steps into his new role. “I have witnessed the impressive exponential growth of Paymentology for many years. The company excels in its field, leading the charge of delivering advanced payment solutions to help drive more access to financial products across the globe. I am incredibly excited to take on this opportunity and contribute to Paymentology's continued growth ambitions," he remarked.

The appointment of Joslyn is viewed as a strategic move to bolster Paymentology’s technological capabilities and enhance its suite of payment solutions for a global clientele. By leveraging his vast experience and leadership skills, Paymentology aims to further solidify its position as a front-runner in the fintech sector, offering cutting-edge payment technologies and driving innovation across the industry.
