RedCloud names Raju Datla as new Chief Financial Officer

RedCloud has appointed Raju Datla as Chief Financial Officer, promoting him from Chief Strategy Officer as the Nasdaq-listed company adjusts its leadership team following its public market debut.

Already a member of the executive leadership team, Datla will now oversee the group's financial operations. RedCloud says the change is part of a broader effort to connect finance more closely with strategic planning as it expands in international markets.

RedCloud describes itself as a technology company building AI infrastructure for global trade. It focuses on the fast-moving consumer goods sector, working across networks that include retailers, distributors and brands.

Datla has held senior roles at Deutsche Bank and has worked in technology and infrastructure-led businesses, according to RedCloud. His background includes scaling operations, investment planning, and mergers and acquisitions.

The promotion signals continuity in the company's leadership approach. As Chief Strategy Officer, Datla helped shape the long-term growth roadmap and capital strategy, as well as market expansion plans.

Finance focus

The appointment comes as RedCloud describes a period of commercial scaling and increased engagement with capital markets. The company trades on Nasdaq under the ticker RCT and is registered in London.

RedCloud says it needs to align capital allocation with operational scaling as it deploys its technology across trade networks. That places the CFO role at the centre of decisions on investment, funding, and financial governance.

Justin Floyd, RedCloud's founder and CEO, linked the appointment to the company's expansion plans and its view of market conditions.

Datla said he plans to focus on strengthening the company's financial base and investment approach as it grows.

Platform outline

RedCloud's platform, which it calls RedAI, generates and aggregates trading and market data from across the FMCG industry. It says it uses that data to provide market intelligence across categories in each market where it operates.

RedCloud also offers products it describes as a "trading layer" used by customers across supply chains. It says its broader offering includes payments and lending as part of an ecosystem around trade.

The company positions its role within a broader shift in global trade as businesses adopt more digital tools for procurement, distribution, and inventory decisions. It also cites volatility and fragmentation in trade conditions as drivers of demand for new infrastructure and data-led services.

The CFO role often carries extra weight at listed companies because of reporting obligations and investor communications. Finance leaders can also influence how companies balance growth spending with profitability targets, particularly in technology businesses operating across multiple markets and currencies.

RedCloud was co-founded by Justin Floyd and Soumaya Hamzaoui. With Datla moving into the finance post, the company will need to fill the Chief Strategy Officer role or redistribute strategy responsibilities within the executive team.

RedCloud has not announced any other leadership changes alongside the CFO appointment. It has also not said whether Datla will take on responsibilities beyond finance as the company expands.
