Mon, 18th Mar 2024

In a strategic business move, Richard McManus has assumed the new role of Chief Operating Officer at Lánluas Consulting. The enterprise software veteran, with his well-decorated career in local government, corporate and IT markets, intends to assist the company with the expansion of its service offerings in the Australian, New Zealand and UK markets.

John Speed, the Founder and Chief Executive at Lánluas, expressed excitement about the appointment, stating that McManus' exceptional track record in IT strategy, digital transformation and his extensive project delivery prowess equips him to guide and grow the Lánluas team effectively. Speed added, “Richard’s extensive client-side and project delivery experience positions him to not only map out the strategic trajectory of our company but also to have a significant impact on the success of our delivery and engagement with our Clients."

Previously noted for his work at Northern Beaches Council, Kodak, Solution 6 and most recently at Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS), McManus played a pivotal role in the implementation of TechnologyOne Financials in 149 primary and secondary schools. This endeavour was in partnership with Lánluas itself.

Whilst expressing his anticipation to furthering the growth of Lánluas on a global scale, McManus reaffirmed his confidence in the company's exceptional service delivery and capability. He said, "Lánluas has always been an excellent partner to work with, and the company’s ability to unlock the potential of our Client’s systems is unparalleled. I look forward to supporting John and the company in bringing that delivery to life globally."

In addition to this appointment, Lánluas has further strengthened its expertise by including two new Senior Consultants with substantial TechnologyOne experience. Kim Smith, a business consulting expert with 25 years of experience, particularly excelled in ERP software implementation and optimisation. Smith's significant achievements encompass leading the TechnologyOne implementation for a UK council and the Enterprise Cash Receipting implementation for a NSW council, among others.

Andrew Coverdale, the second Senior Consultant, has robust experience in the local government sector. Starting his journey as a system administrator, Coverdale then ventured into a consulting role with TechnologyOne, where he honed his skills for nearly 12 years, specialising in Property & Rating. In recent years, Coverdale has successfully delivered a variety of roles within a data migration company. His past achievements include leading a Property & Rating migration project for a large Queensland local government authority and an implementation for a large NSW metro council.

The inclusion of such high-calibre talent cements Lánluas' commitment to vigour, professionalism and world-class service in consulting, demonstrating the lengthy strides the company is willing to take to ensure the best client experience. By focussing on capabilities and maximising systems' potential, Lánluas looks set to deepen its reach in global markets.
