Tenzo secures USD $5 million for US expansion push

Wed, 22nd Apr 2026 (Yesterday)

Tenzo has secured a USD $5 million first close of its Series A extension round, led by Edge.vc.

Existing investors Amadeus Capital Partners and YourVC also participated, alongside Frontive Holdings, one of Tenzo's customers. The London hospitality data company has also appointed Jane O'Riordan as Chair of the Board as it looks to expand the business and further develop its products.

Tenzo provides a real-time data and analytics platform for hospitality operators. It brings together information from more than 100 technology partners across sales, labour, inventory and operations, giving restaurant and hotel teams a single view of performance.

The business now works with more than 250 customers. Over the past year, it has added brands including JKS, Honest Burgers and Super8, while expanding further into hotel food and beverage operations with customers including IHG, Dean Hotels and Ennismore.

It has also grown its customer base in the US, with PrimoHoagies, Parker Restaurant Group and Lettuce Entertain You among those using the platform.

Expansion plans

The fresh capital will support a broader international expansion, with a particular focus on the US. Over the next 18 months, Tenzo also plans to double the number of integrations on its platform and grow its team.

The investment comes as hospitality operators continue to face pressure on margins and day-to-day decision-making. The sector has been dealing with sustained cost increases, while managers are being asked to respond more quickly to changing demand, staffing needs and stock levels.

Tenzo argues that faster access to operational data can help businesses act earlier on issues such as labour deployment, waste and trading performance. According to the company, customers using its system have increased labour productivity by 15%, reduced food waste by 80% and cut the time spent compiling reports by 75% on average.

That proposition has become more relevant as hospitality groups try to replace manual reporting and fragmented systems with consolidated data tools. By bringing together information from multiple software suppliers, companies such as Tenzo are targeting a market in which operators often rely on separate systems for tills, rota management, bookings, stock and finance.

Product push

Alongside its expansion plans, Tenzo has been broadening its product range. Recent launches include a mobile app for general managers, area managers and senior leadership teams, designed to provide access to key performance data away from desktop systems.

It has also introduced TenzoGPT, which allows teams to query their data using natural language. This reflects a wider shift across business software, as suppliers add artificial intelligence tools intended to make data analysis easier for non-technical users.

For investors, the appeal appears to lie in Tenzo's position at the intersection of hospitality operations and applied AI. The sector has long generated large volumes of data, but much of that information has remained difficult to use in real time at site level.

Christian Mouysset, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tenzo, said the funding came at a difficult time for the sector.

"This is a particularly tough moment for hospitality in the UK. Tenzo was born out of experiencing those challenges first-hand - we created it to help operators move from simply surviving to truly thriving. Today, we connect more than 100 tools across the industry, democratising access to data so operational teams can make better, faster, data-driven decisions every day. This investment allows us to deepen that support, continue innovating for our customers, and play a meaningful role in ensuring the long-term success of the hospitality industry," said Mouysset.

Edge.vc said Tenzo had shown traction in a market where operators are under pressure to make better use of operational information.

"Tenzo is addressing a fundamental challenge in hospitality by helping operators make sense of complex operational data in real-time. The team has demonstrated strong traction, a clear understanding of the market and a compelling vision for how data and AI can support more resilient and sustainable hospitality businesses," said Sunnucks.
