UiPath announces Raghu Malpani as new Chief Technology Officer
Leading enterprise automation and AI software company, UiPath, has appointed seasoned tech executive, Raghu Malpani as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). UiPath announced this significant addition to their leadership team on 2nd May.
Raghu Malpani, a former Microsoft and Meta executive, will directly report to Daniel Dines, the Chief Innovation Officer and Executive Chairman of UiPath. In his new position as Chief Technology Officer, Malpani will be heading the company's engineering teams. He brings with him a rich background in managing massive distribution systems and supporting product delivery, traits that will contribute significantly to his new role.
Before his tenure at UiPath, Malpani worked as Corporate Vice President for the Microsoft 365 Application and Data Platform, where he had been in charge of several global teams. These teams were responsible for managing Microsoft Exchange Core, the CoPilot semantic index platform, and Microsoft Graph. He has a distinguished career with Microsoft, having served in numerous leadership positions over a span of 15 years. His role as the General Manager across several Microsoft Azure cloud offerings was particularly noteworthy. Beyond Microsoft, Raghu has also led the global Decisions Platform team at Meta. Here, he was charged with building experimentation, personalisation, and market intelligence platforms across all product areas at Facebook.
Daniel Dines, Chief Innovation Officer and Executive Chairman of UiPath, welcomed Malpani to the team, stating: "Raghu is a people and customer-focused engineering leader who has led best-in-class products and teams. Mr. Malpani is a graduate of the National Institute of Technology in Karnataka, India. His rich technological background and leadership credentials surely make him an invaluable asset to UiPath as they continue their quest to revolutionize the enterprise automation and AI software landscape.
