UiPath launches Automation Cloud on Microsoft Azure in UK
UiPath has announced that its UiPath Automation Cloud is now available on Microsoft Azure in the UK. The expansion aims to support various organisations in safely deploying AI-powered automation programs while adhering to local data residency laws.
The general availability of UiPath Automation Cloud in the UK is driven by the high customer demand for local data residency and the growing need for AI and automation. This decision enables both private and public sector organisations to strategically position their infrastructure, applications, and data in compliance with local data residency laws. The service offers improved performance, heightened security, and the benefits of a distributed cloud across multiple industries.
UiPath Automation Cloud, a SaaS offering, provides the UiPath Business Automation Platform as a service and is designed for enhanced performance and security. It supports hybrid scenarios with client components for Robots and Studio, facilitating easy deployment, operation, and scaling of digital workforces directly from the Automation Cloud.
"The expansion of UiPath Automation Cloud in the UK opens up an exciting opportunity for our customers in regulated industries to position their infrastructure, applications, and data strategically for peak performance and minimal latency," said John Kelleher, Area Vice President UK and Ireland at UiPath. "By addressing our customers' high demand for cloud services, UiPath is making a long-term commitment to support their strategic growth and the acceleration of their AI-powered automation strategies."
The new availability is expected to be particularly beneficial for public sector organisations and industries such as financial services, healthcare, and telecommunications. Operating with UK-based data centres will facilitate more agile and robust operations while ensuring heightened security. The placement of data centres within the country is a critical factor for compliance with local regulations concerning the handling of sensitive customer data.
"The availability of UiPath Automation Cloud on Microsoft Azure marks an important milestone in our ability to best serve regulated industries in the UK, with an emphasis on public sector, healthcare, and financial services. We look forward to continuing our work with the UiPath team to maximise customer outcomes through our deep Microsoft AI and Cloud capabilities integrations," said Orla McGrath, Global Partner Solutions UK Leader at Microsoft.
