Xtreme Motorsports revamps with Forterro's cloud ERP Fortee
Xtreme Motorsports has undergone a significant digital transformation by implementing Fortee, a cloud ERP solution provided by Forterro. The UK-based manufacturer, known for its high-quality performance car upgrades, particularly for the Nissan GTR-R35, was previously grappling with inefficiencies due to reliance on spreadsheets and extensive paperwork to manage production stages.
Fortee offers a comprehensive approach to handle optimum batch sizes and streamline complex manufacturing processes, including CNC machining. The transition has resulted in substantial reductions in both time and resource wastage, allowing Xtreme Motorsports to shift from smaller, inefficient batches to larger, more cost-effective ones. This transition has been essential for maintaining competitiveness in the market.
"It is so satisfying to be in control of everything – overseeing costings, routings, the bill of materials and the structures," remarked Antony Allsop, Business Development Manager at Xtreme Motorsports. "It gives a sense of being on top of everything and knowing exactly where we are headed, and the business is now positioned for significant expansion and diversification over the next few years."
Prior to the implementation of Fortee, stock management and planning were major challenges for Xtreme Motorsports, leading to a reactive and disorganised approach. The integration of Fortee has introduced a more proactive strategy, which has enhanced control over inventory and stock levels. This system has reduced the frequency of running out of key items, previously a cause for lost orders and customer retention issues. The holistic nature of Fortee offers complete control and clear direction for the business.
"Because of Fortee, there's been less panic and knee-jerk reactions across the business," continued Allsop. "We have a number of new and ambitious projects in the pipeline, and the Fortee cloud ERP has been a central component in ensuring we are ready for those projects and for accelerating our digital transformation."
Fortee, which launched in the UK in May 2024, is an out-of-the-box SaaS ERP solution tailored to the specific needs of SME discrete manufacturers and industrial startups. Based on Forterro's successful cloud ERP solution Sylob, Fortee encapsulates 15 years of cloud-ERP expertise. The solution provides functionalities relevant to its target market, including purchasing, production, CRM, and supply chain management.
"Using spreadsheets and paper-based processes is still common amongst many smaller manufacturers," noted Benot Wambergue, VP of Product Management at Forterro. "It really doesn't need to be, though. A cloud-based ERP such as Fortee is incredibly easy to get started with, and Xtreme Motorsports was up and running and seeing ROI in a matter of weeks. Their deployment of Fortee showcases the transformative impact of effective operational management systems in manufacturing, setting a benchmark for efficiency, control, and strategic growth."
