Zellis, a provider of payroll and HR software in the UK and Ireland, has announced significant company and product updates during its annual user summit in London.
The 2024 summit saw nearly 400 attendees, including customers, prospects, and partners, participating in keynote presentations and panel discussions led by company leaders and industry experts.
The event focused on Zellis's efforts to enhance employee experiences through product development.
A key highlight of the summit was the announcement of Zellis HCM AIR's general release, a major update to its primary solution.
This upgrade introduces AI and Realtime payroll features designed to improve efficiency and user experience. Initially previewed in June, Zellis HCM AIR includes several new functionalities.
With Realtime payroll, customers can better distribute workflows across the payroll cycle, reducing end-of-month pressure and cutting error costs by allowing more time for data verification. Features include autonomous processing and new payroll dashboards that enable immediate decisions and updates.
Intelligent anomaly detection spots unexpected changes in pay data throughout the cycle, identifying irregularities in realtime and reducing manual checking efforts.
Intelligent data entry minimises manual form entry by using AI to scan HR forms quickly and accurately, automatically updating employee records.
Intelligent payslips utilise AI to deliver personalised content that helps employees understand their pay and any variations, enhancing engagement and financial confidence.
Additionally, Zellis has improved the resilience architecture of HCM AIR by incorporating Azure's latest functionality, ensuring data replication across three zones for added security.
Feedback from early adopters of Zellis HCM AIR was positive, with customers appreciating the system's insightful dashboards and time-efficiencies, leading to faster payouts and less work for payroll teams.
The summit also detailed future development plans for Zellis HCM AIR, including extending anomaly detection across multiple pay periods and expanding intelligent data entry to more forms.
An important part of the summit was announcing changes to the Zellis leadership team. John Petter, who has been the Group CEO, will focus on his role as CEO of the Zellis Group while Abigail Vaughan steps into the role of CEO for the Zellis business unit, having been the COO for five years.
John Petter, Zellis Group CEO, commented, "Zellis Group has evolved into a multiple award-winning market leader within our sector. In close partnership with our owners, Apax Partners, we have big ambitions for continued innovation, expanding AI integrations to deliver ever increasing benefits for our customers."
He further added, "As the scale of the Group continues to grow, we're also taking every step to ensure we're well positioned to pursue our ambitious five-year plan. I have no doubt that Abigail [Vaughan], having led the transformation of Zellis Managed Services over the past five years, will lead Zellis to new heights as CEO."
Abigail Vaughan stated, "Zellis is a purposeful organisation, providing meaningful products and services that are critical to large UK and Irish employers.
Our incredible user summit was testament to the fact that we are fully committed to powering exceptional experiences – and I look forward to bringing even more benefits to our valued customers and their people."
Besides the updates to HCM AIR, the summit previewed a forthcoming upgrade to the Zellis MyView self-service application, set for general availability in early 2025.
The company also unveiled Zellis Co-Pilot, an AI-powered assistant designed to help customers and colleagues query policies and data, aiding in effective communication and task execution.
