AccountsIQ, the cloud-based accounting software provider, has announced the acquisition of ExpenseIn, an expense management software firm.

ExpenseIn will continue to operate under its existing name following the acquisition and shares a customer-centric approach with its new owner. The company, established in 2015, processes over a million expenses monthly, with its customer base spanning more than 40 countries. Notable clients include Ascot, Corpay, and Bath Rugby.

The acquisition is part of AccountsIQ's strategy to expand its offerings beyond traditional finance teams to encompass broader business functions. This strategy is aimed at providing a comprehensive product solution to the office of the Chief Financial Officer, including capabilities in spend card management and embedded payments.

Since securing investment from Axiom in June 2024, AccountsIQ has made notable strides in enhancing its service offerings. This progression includes the introduction of advanced product features and the recruitment of a skilled management team.

With the integration of ExpenseIn's technologies, the AccountsIQ Group now caters to more than 175,000 users. This integration is poised to offer a more robust and cohesive solution for modern finance teams. AccountsIQ plans to augment its workforce and invest further in product advancements, reflecting its commitment to providing technology that supports its customers' business objectives.

Darren Cran, CEO of AccountsIQ, stated, "Both AccountsIQ and ExpenseIn have a shared vision for innovation and growth, and we've had an increasing number of joint customers in recent years. This acquisition bolsters our position as a leading finance management solution for ambitious finance teams in the mid-market, with our combined knowledge and experience allowing us to really understand what our customers need and deliver the technology to match."

Richard Jones, Managing Director of ExpenseIn, expressed, "There's a natural synergy between our companies, as both AccountsIQ and ExpenseIn are passionate about delivering great products and experiences for our customers. We share a joint commitment to provide the office of the CFO with market-leading software and understand the changing requirements of fast-paced modern finance teams and the challenges they face. I look forward to working closely with Darren and the AccountsIQ team as we continue to innovate and scale."

ExpenseIn will continue its operations without any interruption to its customers or partners, maintaining its brand identity within the AccountsIQ Group.
