adesso, a global IT firm based in Germany, has revealed plans to expand its operations in the UK market, following a period of unprecedented growth. The company, already established in 16 European countries, specialises in IT consulting and software development services and has seen a steady increase in its client base within the pharmaceutical, utilities, and manufacturing industries in the UK. As one of the fastest-growing firms within the DACH region, adesso has seen its annual revenue surpass the 1 billion mark.
As part of its growth strategy for the UK market, adesso has appointed industry veteran Libero Raspa to spearhead its operations in the UK. Raspa brings a wealth of experience with him, previously holding positions such as Head of Europe Sales Strategy & Operations at globally renowned online tech company agoda, part of Booking Holdings, and a senior managerial role at IBM.
The UK branch of adesso is primarily focused on providing businesses within the region with competitively attractive near-shore and offshore services from the adesso Group’s global supply network. The firm has recently expanded its client-facing team, and established partnerships with top-tier brands such as Microsoft, AWS, SAP, Salesforce, and Google. In addition, adesso has also entered into a partnership with Canonical Ubuntu, and is in the process of finalising a collaboration with UCL's Institute of Finance and Technology.
The company’s SmartShore model was developed specifically with near-shore and offshore services in mind. The model essentially facilitates software development for IT projects by bringing together highly specialized teams from various national adesso branches on an agile basis, tailored to address specific challenges. Sophisticated IT projects are supported by international teams of IT professionals from countries like Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Hungary, and India, among others, working together at the various SmartShore offices operated by the adesso Group within its global network.
