Kansys has appointed Alison Young as its new Chief Executive Officer, tasking her with leading the company through its next stage of growth.

Alison Young brings extensive experience in financial operations across the media and technology sectors to Kansys. Her most recent position was Vice President & Managing Director, Support & Payments at WideOrbit, a company specialising in digital and linear media management and advertising platforms. In this capacity, Young developed a deep understanding of the complexities involved in revenue management across technology-driven industries.

Before joining WideOrbit, Young dedicated almost ten years at The E.W. Scripps Company. While at Scripps, she was responsible for managing centralised accounting operations, including oversight of billing, revenue management, credit and collections, as well as travel and expenses. The E.W. Scripps Company is one of the largest local television broadcasters in the United States, with broad operational reach and significant financial infrastructure.

Young's appointment is intended to reinforce Kansys' focus on efficiency, customer success, and strategic financial operations across telecommunications, utilities, hospitality, and financial services.

"I am excited and humbled to step into the role of CEO at Kansys, Inc. at what is a crucial time in the company's journey. With over 25 years' experience of delivering innovations in complex billing software across multiple industries, Kansys has forged exceptional partnerships with a global customer base. One of my main priorities is to build on this legacy and solid foundation alongside our extremely talented team to help clients grow their business, identify efficiencies and ultimately improve their operations," said Alison Young.

Young highlighted that the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and related technologies will become central to Kansys' strategy. She stated that AI and emerging technologies could unlock new opportunities for the company and its customers, enhancing its ability to provide tailored solutions and support further agility and operational improvements.

"The rise of AI and other emerging technologies is unlocking significant opportunities for Kansys to reevaluate how we can deliver maximum value for our customers. This will be another key focus area for the company moving forward, with AI offering a unique opportunity for us to enhance our portfolio of custom-tailored solutions to anticipate customers' evolving needs, helping them remain agile and power their next stage of growth. I am inspired by the passion, talent and ingenuity of the entire team at Kansys and am committed to providing opportunities for them to progress in their own careers as the business continues to grow."

As part of the company's leadership transition, Jeff Power, formerly CEO of Kansys, has taken up the newly created position of Group Leader within the broader group that includes Kansys in its portfolio. This move signals an evolution in the company's governance structure, with continued oversight and support from experienced industry figures.

Kansys provides a modular Business Support System (BSS) and mediation platform that serves organisations in a range of industries. Its solution aims to help companies manage complex billing processes at scale, optimise customer experiences, and focus on both operational continuity and future business development.

The company's approach centres on solving specific business challenges for customers by assuming responsibility for core BSS elements, including billing, service configuration, revenue assurance, charging, customer care, and data mediation. Kansys emphasises that by managing these functions, it allows customers to concentrate on protecting and growing their revenue streams.
