Beyond Now has launched its Wave AI Framework for communications service providers and technology companies. It is designed to support collaboration between AI agents across revenue-related processes.

The product allows Beyond Now's own agents to work alongside customer-built and third-party agents across sales, fulfilment, billing and partner operations. The system is open and model-agnostic, allowing customers to use different AI models and agents while setting controls over access, permissions and actions.

The launch extends the company's recently introduced Agentic Revenue & Ecosystem Orchestration Platform. Wave AI is positioned as the layer that gives agents business context, including information on customers, products, pricing and commercial rules, and enables them to operate across live systems with human oversight.

The company is addressing a practical problem that has emerged as AI agent development becomes easier. Building an agent is no longer the main obstacle. Businesses still need those agents to understand complex commercial environments, execute workflows across several systems and stay within defined operating limits.

For communications service providers, the issue is particularly acute because revenue processes often stretch across business support systems, sales tools, product catalogues and partner channels. In that environment, any agent that takes action needs access to current business data, as well as clear rules on what it can see and do.

Beyond Now has organised the framework into four layers. The Wave AI Interface provides a conversational way for users to interact with the Beyond Now platform. The Wave AI Workforce consists of role-based agents embedded across the platform, while the Wave AI Cockpit serves as a control plane for orchestration, governance and observability. A separate data layer supplies the business context agents need to make decisions and carry out tasks.

The framework also includes reusable AI skills, model context protocol components and application programming interfaces. These are intended to help agents connect with enterprise systems and with one another without creating a separate, disconnected AI layer inside the business.

Beyond Now has already linked Wave AI with Microsoft AI Foundry. Hrvatski Telekom is also introducing AI across business support systems, commerce and sales as part of a broader AI-first strategy.

Governance focus

Governance is a central feature of the framework. Companies need to define where human oversight remains necessary, what actions agents are allowed to take and which systems they can access before AI can be used safely across commercial processes.

That reflects a broader market shift towards what some companies describe as agent-to-agent interaction, where software agents work not only with people and internal systems but also with external agents across organisational boundaries. For telecoms operators and technology providers, this raises questions about security, accountability and control over commercial processes.

Beyond Now argues that these controls will matter as AI agents move into revenue-generating and customer-facing operations. That goes beyond answering queries or generating content into areas where agents may trigger fulfilment steps, support product sales or interact with billing functions.

"We're reaching the point where building another AI agent is relatively straightforward. Making that agent useful inside the business and turning that into growth is much harder. The next step is giving agents the ability to act across real commercial processes and work with other agents safely and securely. Wave AI Framework gives customers a governed way to do that, while keeping them free to use our agents, their own or others from across the wider AI ecosystem," said Angus Ward, Chief Executive Officer of Beyond Now.

The next phase of adoption is likely to involve agents operating across organisational boundaries, including external agents interacting directly with service provider systems and agents working with other agents. Wave AI is intended to support those interactions while retaining control over access, permissions and commercial processes.
