BlueSnap launches direct SAP ERP payments integration

Wed, 15th Apr 2026

BlueSnap has launched a direct payments integration with SAP Cloud ERP and SAP S/4HANA. The product has also been certified by the SAP Integration and Certification Centre.

The integration is aimed at enterprises and upper-mid-market businesses with revenue above USD $200 million, particularly those operating across multiple countries and supply chains.

It connects BlueSnap's payments system directly to SAP's cloud-based enterprise resource planning software, bypassing the third-party connectors often used to link payment providers with finance and commerce systems. The company says this is intended to simplify payment operations for businesses managing transactions across several markets.

The direct model is designed to reduce the added cost and complexity of connector-based arrangements. Customers can manage payments through a single global account while handling reconciliation across multiple entities and currencies.

Direct link

The integration works with SAP Cloud ERP and SAP S/4HANA through SAP's Digital Payments Add-On, enabling payment processing within SAP environments with PCI-compliant, real-time transaction handling.

BlueSnap's system also supports tokenised transactions, allowing a payment authorised in one system to be completed later in SAP, such as when goods are shipped. This is intended to help companies maintain continuity when transactions move between eCommerce systems and back-office software.

Other features include local acquiring in 50 countries, support for Level II and Level III data, Visa CEDP data processing, and fraud protection tools. These capabilities are designed to help companies reduce cross-border transaction costs and improve authorisation rates in international markets.

BlueSnap is positioning the SAP integration at organisations with global operations that need to process payments in different currencies and across multiple legal entities. These businesses often face more complex reconciliation requirements because transactions, taxes, and settlement flows can span several jurisdictions.

ERP focus

The move reflects a broader push among payments providers to embed payment functions more deeply into enterprise software platforms rather than relying on middleware or separate connectors. For large companies, payment data inside ERP systems can shape cash management, reconciliation, and financial reporting.

The integration also supports migration from legacy payment service providers. This can matter for larger organisations that want to switch providers without interrupting transaction flows tied to existing customer records or payment tokens.

The SAP Integration and Certification Centre certification covers software that integrates with SAP Cloud ERP and SAP S/4HANA using standard integration technologies or runs as an add-on to an SAP cloud solution. For software suppliers, certification can help reassure enterprise customers that an integration meets SAP's technical requirements.

BlueSnap operates as part of Payroc and focuses on payment orchestration for business-to-business and business-to-consumer companies. Payroc processes more than USD $125 billion annually and provides the acquiring network behind BlueSnap's international payments offering.

In the enterprise payments market, providers are competing on their ability to combine payment acceptance, fraud controls, international acquiring, and reconciliation within systems that finance teams already use. Businesses with global operations are under pressure to reduce friction in cross-border sales while keeping payment data aligned with ERP records.

This has increased demand for systems that link front-end sales channels and back-office finance platforms more closely. Direct integration with SAP may appeal to companies seeking fewer handoffs between eCommerce, payments, and accounting systems, especially when transaction data needs to move quickly into finance workflows.

"Enterprises today need their payment systems to be fast, transparent, and cost-effective – as well as work directly with the tools they already use," said Gavin Cicchinelli, President, BlueSnap. "Our direct integration with SAP Cloud ERP and S/4HANA® means businesses no longer need to rely on clunky third-party connectors – just one simple integration to manage their global payments."
