Encompass appoints Andrew Dunn as Vice President of Engineering
Encompass has announced the appointment of Andrew Dunn as its new Vice President of Engineering.
The move sees Dunn, an experienced technical leader, joining the company to spearhead the engineering efforts for its Corporate Digital Identity (CDI) platform. Dunn brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at technology firms including Arachnys and OpenCorporates, where he focused on product and business transformation.
In his new role, Dunn will be responsible for guiding the strategic delivery of the CDI platform, aiming to maximise its value for global banking customers. He will be based in London but will oversee engineering teams across the company's technical centres in Glasgow, Sydney, and Belgrade.
Dunn's appointment follows a series of key developments at Encompass, including the acquisitions of ING-led innovations Blacksmith KYC and CoorpID. These acquisitions, finalised earlier this year, reflect Encompass's commitment to tackling the challenges associated with corporate and institutional client identification and verification through its CDI platform.
Andrew Dunn stated, "I am thrilled to, with Encompass, play my part in bringing a much-needed industry solution to life through the acceleration of our CDI platform. My varied career journey so far has equipped me with the skills needed to build on strong foundations when it comes to offering best-in-class innovation to customers and, with a talented, growing team around me, I know we are well placed to continue to deliver significant benefits."
Wayne Johnson, CEO and co-founder of Encompass, expressed his enthusiasm about Dunn's appointment, saying, "I am delighted to welcome Andrew, with it already apparent that he will have a crucial influence on the next stage of our growth. His extensive knowledge, technical acumen, and experience in developing high-performing teams focused on truly standout innovation offers new opportunities as we move forward with our vision for CDI."
Johnson added, "CDI is undoubtedly the future, solving critical issues for the banks we serve, and adding individuals of Andrew's calibre to our enviable team only enhances what we can offer. There has never been a more exciting time for our business, and I know there is so much more in store as we forge ahead."
Encompass's CDI platform is designed to provide fast, accurate identity validation and verification of corporate customers. It combines real-time data and documents from authoritative global public data sources and private customer information to create and maintain digital risk profiles. The company aims to help the world's leading banks improve customer experience and increase business opportunities through consistent regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
