Harvey to open Paris office & hire EMEA sales chief

Fri, 16th Jan 2026

Harvey has announced plans to open a Paris office in the second quarter and has appointed Jorge Bestard as Vice President of EMEA Sales.

The legal and professional services AI company said the move expands its European footprint beyond its EMEA headquarters in London. Harvey said it has grown its London team to more than 75 employees over the past year.

Paris expansion

Harvey said it already works with French law firms including Bredin Prat and August Debouzy. The company also cited French corporate customers including Vinci Energies and Adecco.

Winston Weinberg, Chief Executive Officer, Harvey, described the hiring and Paris office as part of the company's European investment.

"In the last year, we've grown our London team to 75+ employees, expanded into Spain and Germany, and added EQT and Evantic as strategic investors in Europe. The addition of Jorge as a senior leader on our team and an office in Paris in Q2 represent our objective to support the best legal teams in Europe with Harvey," said Winston Weinberg, CEO, Harvey.

Harvey did not disclose the size of the Paris office or how many roles it expects to add in France. The company said Bestard will be based in London and manage teams across the region.

Commercial leadership

Bestard joins from Canva, where he led EMEA sales for four years, according to Harvey. He previously held leadership roles at collaboration software company Miro and at Meta.

Harvey framed the Paris move as a way to work more closely with customers in France and to build relationships across law firms and in-house legal teams.

John Haddock, Chief Business Officer, Harvey, said the company viewed proximity as important for commercial and customer engagement.

"Being close to customers matters," said John Haddock, Chief Business Officer, Harvey. "A local presence in Paris lets us engage more directly with law firms and in-house teams, understand their challenges firsthand, and support them in a way that simply isn't possible from afar. We are thrilled to combine Jorge's arrival with the office opening announcement to further reinforce our commitment to and growth in Europe," said Haddock.

Customer base

Harvey positions its software as domain-specific AI for legal and professional services. The company said its products cover areas such as contract analysis, due diligence, compliance and litigation.

The company said it has more than 1,000 customers across more than 59 countries. Harvey said its customer base includes global law firms and Fortune 500 companies.

Investors

Harvey said it is backed by investors including Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, OpenAI Startup Fund, Andreessen Horowitz and EQT. It also cited GV and Coatue among its investors.

The company said it recently added EQT and Evantic as strategic investors in Europe, alongside its expansion into Spain and Germany. Harvey did not provide financial details linked to the European expansion or the Paris office.

Bestard will start work as Harvey builds out its regional sales organisation across EMEA and prepares for the Paris office opening in the second quarter.
