HRLocker has acquired performance management software provider WorkCompass as part of Invincible Software Holdings' HR Track strategy.
The deal adds WorkCompass' performance management and analytics tools to HRLocker's existing human resources platform, extending the company's capabilities in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The transaction value has not been disclosed.
The acquisition represents the sixth transaction in Invincible Software Holdings' HR Track buy-and-build strategy, which aims to assemble a comprehensive technology suite for small and medium-sized enterprises with between 50 and 1,000 employees. Earlier this year, HRLocker merged with HireHive, an applicant tracking and recruitment platform.
By integrating WorkCompass' functionalities such as goals, objectives and key results (OKRs), continuous feedback, and surveys into HRLocker, users will now gain the ability to manage performance, time, absence, compliance and core HR information in a single platform. This integration is designed to minimise administrative tasks and reduce reliance on spreadsheets, providing managers with a unified interface for setting objectives, tracking progress, and conducting review cycles.
Existing WorkCompass customers will retain access to the tools and support they have previously used, in addition to benefiting from future integrations within the wider HRLocker suite. Over time, the companies expect to deliver a more unified experience for users, presenting a clearer view of the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to ongoing performance evaluation.
The combined company will also operate at a larger scale, combining resources from both teams to accelerate the development of new features and integrations. This is expected to offer improvements in reliability, security, and the overall breadth of product capabilities for SME customers.
Adam Reynolds, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Invincible Software Holdings, said: "WorkCompass fits hand-in-glove with our HR Track: one workflow, clearer outcomes for SMEs. Our approach is operator-led for a reason: Tight integration, smart cross-sell, and a roadmap that keeps paying back for customers. We're here to build durable software businesses, and deliver an unrivalled experience to the +3000 customers who run on them."
Denis Coleman, Founder and CEO at WorkCompass, said: "Joining HRLocker accelerates our vision to move beyond rear-view appraisals toward real-time coaching and measurable results. Our customers will see the same intuitive performance platform they love, now backed by a broader product ecosystem and roadmap."
Crystel Robbins Rynne, CEO of HRLocker, commented: "WorkCompass brings a coaching-led, outcomes-focused approach to performance that fits perfectly with our mission to make HR simpler, faster and more human. By integrating WorkCompass' strengths in goals, feedback and actionable insights, we're giving customers a tighter, more seamless employee journey, improving the way HR works businesses across Ireland."
With the addition of WorkCompass, HRLocker expects to deliver a more complete solution for SMEs seeking to manage human resources, talent and performance processes on a unified platform. The companies intend to leverage their combined product and engineering teams to accelerate the delivery of new integrations that further streamline HR workflows.
The WorkCompass product is recognised for its focus on coaching, real-time feedback and the application of management science, and its inclusion in the HRLocker platform marks a further consolidation of performance management and core HR software under one provider for regional SMEs.
