Keyloop and Autotrader have expanded their collaboration on digital advertising for vehicle retailers, linking Keyloop's Vehicle Hub system with Autotrader's vehicle data and valuation tools.

The integration gives retailers using Vehicle Hub access to Autotrader data on standard and optional vehicle specifications, alongside valuation information for new and used cars. The aim is to reduce manual checks and rekeying across systems while improving the quality and consistency of online adverts.

Under the arrangement, stock held in Keyloop's inventory system can be listed on Autotrader as soon as vehicle details and images have been confirmed. Vehicles marked as under negotiation remain visible to buyers but cannot receive enquiries, while sold stock is removed automatically.

The system is designed to help dealers manage stock and pricing changes more quickly. It also aims to reduce duplicate leads and avoid customer frustration caused by outdated listings remaining online.

According to Keyloop, retailers using Vehicle Hub have reported 33% faster conversion of sales enquiries. It also says the system has delivered a fully streamlined vehicle taxonomy for users managing listings across multiple sites or wider national operations.

Inventory link

The integration sits within Fusion, Keyloop's automotive retail platform, which covers vehicle sales and aftersales processes. Vehicle Hub is the platform's inventory management element, used to manage listings and stock status across digital sales channels.

For dealers, one operational change is the removal of the spreadsheet and file uploads commonly used to update advertising feeds. Keyloop says that could free sales teams to spend more time progressing deals rather than maintaining listings manually.

Keyloop users can also use dynamic search tools to identify which in-demand vehicles should receive premium advertising placements on Autotrader. The intention is to help retailers make fuller use of their available advertising slots while giving staff visibility over each vehicle's sales status.

The partnership reflects the growing importance of data accuracy in digital automotive retail, where vehicle specification, pricing and availability can change rapidly. Errors in those areas can affect both lead quality and customer trust, particularly in the used-car market, where optional extras and condition can materially change a vehicle's value.

"This collaboration is more than the exchange of data; it will help deliver more dynamic consumer journeys and ensure dealers are better able to meet customers' expectations for speed and accuracy," said Harvey, Chief Revenue Officer at Keyloop.

"Together with Autotrader, we're helping retailers and OEMs drive faster turnover, create richer listings that drive engagement, and improve campaign ROI, all with the goal of enabling smarter inventory turnover and supporting their growth ambitions," Harvey added.

Autotrader says the link with Vehicle Hub gives retailers access to information on each vehicle's standard specification, factory-fit optional features and vehicle history within the systems they already use. The aim is to improve advert quality and allow more accurate pricing based on exact specification.

Market pressure

The collaboration comes as retailers face pressure to react quickly to market conditions and maintain accurate online listings across multiple platforms. In that environment, delays in updating prices or stock status can have an immediate effect on margins, enquiry handling and the buyer experience.

Autotrader, which is listed in the FTSE 100, says its valuation data and wider market information are intended to support faster responses to those changes. It publishes a widely used used-car retail price index and says its data is already used by organisations including the Bank of England and the Office for National Statistics.

Keyloop says its technology is used by more than 20,000 retailers and more than 90 Original Equipment Manufacturers, as well as by more than 70% of the UK's top 200 dealer groups by turnover. The company has expanded beyond dealer management systems into broader retail software linking sales, aftersales and operational workflows.

"In such a fast-moving market, retailers need accurate vehicle data, trusted valuations and the ability to act quickly when stock or pricing changes. Delays, duplication and inconsistent data can cost retailers time, margin and customer confidence. Our Vehicle Data gives retailers a comprehensive view of each vehicle, from standard specification and optional factory-fit features to vehicle history, helping them create better quality adverts faster and price each vehicle more accurately to its exact specification. By making that data and our market-leading Valuations available through Vehicle Hub, this collaboration will give retailers easier access to the insight they need within the systems they already use. Combined with real-time synchronisation, it should help them reduce manual admin, improve advert accuracy and respond faster to changing market conditions," said Plummer.
