KPMG partners with Aiimi to launch global workplace AI platform

Sat, 6th Dec 2025

KPMG has announced that it will roll out a workplace artificial intelligence platform for its consultants, following an agreement with British AI firm Aiimi. The platform will manage and classify KPMG's data across its global operations.

The partnership follows a completed pilot between the companies. KPMG has now signed a three-year contract with Aiimi. Aiimi will deploy specialist consultants and its Workplace AI platform to enhance KPMG's information management.

Managing Data

The new platform will organise and refine KPMG's digital assets. The system will classify sensitive information and connect consultants with data insights during client work. KPMG said the tool will help the firm handle its information in line with present regulatory standards.

The Financial Reporting Council's latest review recently recognised KPMG as a market leader in audit quality. KPMG is increasing investment in new technology. It seeks to strengthen its services amid a changing regulatory environment.

AI Foundation

The platform will serve as a basis for further adoption of AI throughout the business. Aiimi's software will process and tag data. It will also apply rules around data retention and access controls.

The platform is designed to allow enterprises to manage data at scale. Aiimi's technology is used by organisations such as PwC UK and the Financial Conduct Authority, along with FTSE 100 listed companies and UK Government departments.

Pilot and Expansion

KPMG's agreement with Aiimi follows a pilot project. The pilot tested the AI tool's ability to manage complex corporate information. Aiimi's consultants will now support KPMG as it expands internal use of the technology.

Aiimi is based in Britain. The company's platform supports information discovery, governance, and classification. Its aim is to build trust in data ahead of wider application of artificial intelligence tools.

Steve Salvin, Chief Executive and Founder of Aiimi, said KPMG's ambitions present valuable challenges for the platform. "KPMG is one of the largest professional services firms in the world with data and AI ambitions to match. Our job is to help the Big Four firm realise these ambitions. The complex regulatory landscape and data estate KPMG operates within is where Aiimi thrives - something the pilot proved when it put our Workplace AI platform through its paces. Now, our team is looking forward to working alongside KPMG and putting the platform to work. The opportunities this challenge offers is what makes it exciting," said Salvin.

Chris Allen, Chief Data Officer at KPMG UK, said rigorous data management is now essential. "The rise of AI technologies means Information Management and Data Governance have never been more critical. To have trust in AI outputs you must first have trust in your underlying data. The Aiimi platform gives us that trust. It helps us better understand what data we have across the estate. If data has limited value and there's no regulatory requirement to retain it; we delete it. If it's something we want to keep then Aiimi helps us to intelligently classify that data, tag it in-situ and make it available to downstream AI applications in a way which respects retention rules, access controls, and the contractual obligations we have to our clients and audited entities," said Allen.

KPMG will continue to build its AI strategy. The firm plans to use Aiimi's technology as the foundation for future digital initiatives.
