Mangopay and OVO Network ally to simplify chalet booking payments
Mangopay, a modular payment infrastructure provider, has announced its collaboration with OVO Network, an Alpine high-end, self-catered chalet specialist. This partnership aims to streamline and automate the end-to-end payment process for OVO's holiday property rental services.
Rental payments will become more efficient and user-friendly through Mangopay's customised payment flow. This allows guests to secure a reservation by paying a deposit up to 18 months in advance. Simultaneously, property owners are provided with multiple cancellation policy options, thereby adding a layer of flexibility.
Mangopay will facilitate an automated payment system, managing fund requests from guests and integrating third-party online travel agents for chalet bookings. The automated system collects the remaining funds from guests once a booking is confirmed. Post confirmation, the complete booking value is then transferred to the owner's local bank or payment account. This significantly supports OVO Network in minimising manual processes, thus saving resources, time, and costs.
Founded in 2010, OVO Network is one of the leading high-end chalet rental specialists in the Alps, boasting over 200 properties and welcoming more than 30,000 guests annually.
Chris Thompson, Director of OVO Network, praised the partnership, stating, "From the very start of our journey, our focus has been on offering the highest standards, through exceptional properties, outstanding locations and first-class facilities."
"This high-end experience begins at the point of booking, which is why we chose Mangopay to manage our payment process from start to finish. The flexibility of Mangopay's technology to create an infrastructure that meets our specific needs, along with the high level of dedicated support they provide, have been transformational for us."
OVO Network's commitment to quality has also seen the introduction of seamless split payments for trip fees to multiple parties, including owners and property managers. This has further streamlined the experience for property owners.
Reflecting on the new collaboration, Tristán Torres Velat, Director of Sales at Mangopay, commented, "OVO Network's focus on quality is evident throughout everything they do, so we are delighted to support them in applying these same high standards to the payment process for guests and owners."
"The travel industry brings a specific set of challenges when it comes to payments. Our modular and flexible infrastructure enables businesses in the sector to reduce the operational burden of the payments process, and easily create solutions with their own specific needs in mind."
