MSM Unify has appointed Rishi Kapoor as Chief Financial Officer as the student mobility platform works towards a potential dual stock market listing.

Kapoor brings more than 20 years of finance experience across education technology, information technology, pharmaceuticals and supply chain businesses. During his career, he has raised more than USD $135 million in equity funding and led acquisitions, as well as regulatory and governance work tied to public listings.

The appointment is linked to MSM Unify's plan for a possible listing on an Indian exchange alongside a US exchange such as Nasdaq in its 2028 financial year. Kapoor will oversee financial strategy, fundraising, investor relations and financial operations across the group's international markets.

MSM Unify operates a platform connecting students, recruitment partners and universities across North America, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, India, Africa and Australia. It has built its network over more than a decade as international student recruitment has become increasingly digitised and competitive.

Before joining MSM Unify, Kapoor was Chief Financial and Business Officer at Biodeal Pharmaceuticals, where he worked on the company's capital structure ahead of a potential public listing. Earlier, he spent six years as Chief Revenue Officer at GirnarSoft Education Services, operator of CollegeDekho.com, leading equity and debt fundraising rounds and several acquisitions.

His background gives MSM Unify a senior finance executive with direct experience in education businesses and capital markets preparation. He has also worked with India's securities regulator, national stock exchanges and investment banks on listing-related requirements.

Sanjay Laul, Founder of MSM Unify, said the hire reflects the company's next stage of growth.

"Rishi understands what it takes to build a business that lasts. He has done this before in education, at scale, and through multiple stages of a company's path to the public markets. As we expand across new geographies and prepare for a listing that reflects both our India roots and our global reach, his experience in financial strategy, capital raising and disciplined execution will be invaluable to us," said Laul.

The appointment also underscores the growing emphasis education platforms are placing on governance, funding and investor readiness as they seek broader access to capital. For companies operating across several jurisdictions, the finance function often becomes central to managing compliance, reporting standards and cross-border growth.

Kapoor will lead those areas across MSM Unify's operations in North America, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, India, Africa and Australia. The planned listing structure is intended to give both domestic and international investors access to the business.

Kapoor is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master of Commerce degree from Himachal Pradesh University. He is also an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and is registered as a Lifetime Certified Independent Director with India's Institute of Corporate Affairs.

Commenting on his appointment, Kapoor pointed to MSM Unify's position in the international education market and the role of finance in its next stage.

"MSM Unify is solving a real problem for students and institutions around the world, and doing so at a scale few companies can match. Having spent a significant part of my career in education, I understand how important strong financial leadership is in building a sustainable and scalable business. I look forward to working with the team to strengthen the company's financial foundation and help shape its next phase of growth," said Kapoor.
