New CFO for Zempler Bank as it rebrands from Cashplus
Zempler Bank, previously known as Cashplus, has appointed Dominic Wade as its new Chief Financial Officer. Wade will also assume a position on the Zempler Board as an Executive Director.
With a 20-year history in senior finance roles, Wade brings considerable experience to Zempler. Most recently, he served as CFO at SME-focused challenger Alba Bank and Unity Trust Bank. He also spent 13 years in senior management roles at NatWest, covering both commercial and investment banking sectors.
As CFO and Executive Director, Wade will be responsible for leading Zempler's strategic planning and corporate development activities. Additionally, he will oversee all aspects of finance and capital and liquidity management.
Wade's appointment comes in the wake of Zempler's recent rebranding, a move designed to highlight the bank's focus on simplifying finances for the UK's microbusinesses. Commenting on the appointment, Rich Wagner, CEO and Founder of Zempler Bank, said, "I'm delighted to welcome Dominic to the team as we head into an exciting period for the business. We're in a strong position to continue to scale our business to meet the need for simpler, smarter banking products for microbusinesses and underserved consumers. Dominic's specialised industry knowledge and expertise, including his experience at growing challenger banks, will help us to deliver on our ambitious strategic goals."
Wade expressed enthusiasm for his new role, stating: "I'm excited to join Zempler Bank at such an important time for the business. I believe Zempler has a set of products and capabilities that are rare, if not unique, among UK digital challengers and I'm looking forward to building on the excellent foundations Rich and the team have built to unlock the company's full potential."
