Fri, 17th May 2024

The Singapore-based data centre provider, Princeton Digital Group (PDG), has announced the appointment of Niall Hannigan as Group Chief Financial Officer, effective from 3rd June 2024.

Hannigan brings to the role over 30 years of experience and a successful track record within the energy and real estate sectors. He joins PDG from his position as CFO of Masdar, one of the world’s largest renewable energy companies. Hannigan held the finance leadership role for over 14 years and was critical in the company's growth from a start-up to a collective worth in excess of USD30 billion with a 20 Gigawatts portfolio spanning 40 countries.

Before his time at Masdar, Hannigan served as CFO for Zabeel Properties and regional CFO for Emaar Properties, a listed real estate company. His past experiences also include reputable global companies such as Colliers and KPMG.

Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and Co-Founder of PDG, Rangu Salgame, expressed his pleasure at Hannigan's appointment, saying, "I am very pleased to have Niall Hannigan join us as Group Chief Financial Officer to help us take PDG to the next level of growth and value creation. He is a true global leader who has been successful across cultures and business contexts.” Salgame emphasised that Hannigan's expertise within the renewable energy and real estate sectors would add significant value to the company and enhance the leadership team “as we strive to strengthen our position as one of the top data centre operators serving the world’s largest AI and cloud companies.”

Upon his appointment, Hannigan relayed his excitement about the new role at PDG, stating, “I am delighted to join PDG and contribute towards scaling the business as well as building on its tremendous record of success. I am excited to be part of the data centre industry which is at the intersection of technology, real estate, and energy sectors. I have long admired the culture and ethos of PDG, and I am privileged to have the opportunity to be part of the PDG story.”

The appointment of Hannigan as the Group Chief Financial Officer is another positive step for PDG, Asia's leading data centre provider, as they continue to consolidate their standing in the global digital economy.
