Nucleo has partnered with Rootstock Software to target manufacturers, distributors and wholesale businesses in the UK, Ireland and wider EMEA market.

The agreement combines Nucleo's implementation and change delivery work with Rootstock's ERP software to help businesses bring factory, warehouse and planning processes into a single operating environment.

Manufacturers continue to invest in digital transformation, but software adoption and fragmented systems remain a challenge across operations. The partnership is aimed at businesses looking to connect inventory management, production planning, warehouse management, procurement, order management and finance within one system.

Rootstock operates across EMEA, North America and APAC, while Dublin-based Nucleo focuses on complex IT delivery. The initial focus will be on sectors including discrete manufacturing, batch processing, distribution and project-based engineering.

Operational focus

Nucleo will lead implementation of the Rootstock platform and build change management into each programme from the start. This work will cover user engagement, communication, training and roll-out for teams on factory floors, in warehouses and in planning functions.

The partnership aims to address a common problem in manufacturing technology projects: new software is deployed, but staff adoption remains low. Better use of ERP systems can improve supply chain visibility and help businesses generate stronger returns on technology spending.

Rootstock's software brings together core operational and finance functions in a single ERP system. Used alongside CRM on the same platform, it gives businesses a unified view of operational and customer data.

Nucleo specialises in regulated and asset-intensive industries, including manufacturing, utilities, financial services and the public sector. Its experience in complex environments is intended to help businesses adopt new systems while meeting operational and statutory requirements.

Executive comments

Bobby Brown, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nucleo, outlined the rationale for the partnership.

"ERP transformation only delivers value when the technology works for the people using it day in, day out. Our partnership with Rootstock brings together connected operational data with the change expertise needed to drive company-wide adoption. The result is a more joined-up operation, better data-driven decision making and a system that people can actually use with confidence. This is what turns an ERP implementation into genuine business improvement," Brown said.

Andy Brabender, Chief Revenue Officer at Rootstock Software, said manufacturers are reassessing what they expect from ERP systems as artificial intelligence becomes more closely tied to day-to-day processes.

"Manufacturers aren't just modernising ERP - they're asking whether the solution can flex to fit their unique processes, with AI embedded into workflows rather than tacked on top. This shift is exactly where Rootstock and Nucleo come together. We're giving manufacturers and distributors a highly agile platform, and Nucleo brings the local, hands-on expertise to turn that vision into practice - putting AI-driven intelligence into the hands of people making operational decisions every day," Brabender said.

The partnership gives Rootstock additional implementation support in the UK, Ireland and EMEA, while giving Nucleo a larger role in ERP projects for manufacturers and distributors seeking to replace disconnected systems with a more unified operating model.
