In a significant development for the fintech sector, Paymentology, a prominent global issuer-processor, has announced the appointment of Jeff Parker as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Before assuming this role, Parker acted as the Senior Vice President (SVP) and Managing Director at Marqeta, a publically traded fintech firm. The move promises to usher in a period of regional expansion for Paymentology over the next year.

Parker succeeds Paymentology's incumbent Co-CEOs, Abe Smith and Angy Watson, effective immediately. His appointment comes on the back of a stellar career spanning over two decades in the global fintech and financial services sphere. Besides being integral to Marqeta's recent international repositioning and operational expansion across the Asia Pacific (APAC) and Europe, Parker also steered global payments company World First as CEO, leading their international expansion, and played an instrumental role in its successful sale to the Ant Group.

Before his stint at World First, Parker also held senior positions at financial service giants such as Macquarie Bank, JP Morgan, and Accenture. Furthermore, he was the Chief Enterprise Officer at OFX, a Sydney-based international payments company, where he was responsible for managing the global B2B team.
