PixVerse hits unicorn status with record AI video round

Fri, 13th Mar 2026

PixVerse has closed a Series C round led by CDH Investments, valuing the AI video generation company at more than USD $1 billion and making it a unicorn.

It called the raise the largest funding round in Asia's AI video generation category. Antler, EnvisionX Capital, iGlobe Partners, Lion X Ventures, UOB Venture Management, and 3W Fund also participated, alongside other investors.

PixVerse operates an AI video generation platform and reports more than 100 million users across 175 countries, including 16 million monthly active users. Users have generated more than 2.1 billion videos on the service, according to the company.

Investor interest in generative video has grown as model quality improves and organisations look for faster content production. Use cases include entertainment and marketing, as well as internal communications and training materials.

PixVerse says enterprise teams using its tools have reported a 68% cost reduction and 57% faster production compared with traditional workflows. It did not name customers or provide audited benchmarks.

Co-founder Jaden Xie said the funding supports international growth and broader commercial adoption.

"This round marks a new chapter for PixVerse, one defined by scale, reach, and the ambition to make AI video creation a universal capability. Our focus now is on deepening our business presence globally and putting our technology in the hands of more creators and businesses worldwide. We are grateful to our investors for sharing that conviction," Xie said.

Singapore office

PixVerse has opened a global office in Singapore to support enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, and global market development, with a focus on North America and Asia.

Co-founder and CEO Changhu Wang linked the Singapore base to partner networks and hiring. Wang is also part of the Singapore Economic Development Board's Global Founder Programme, which supports experienced founders building companies from Singapore.

"Opening our global office in Singapore puts us at the centre of an international network of partners, customers, and talent, and reflects our confidence in what this company can build from here," Wang said.

Model roadmap

PixVerse is positioning its technical development as a differentiator in a crowded field that includes large technology groups and specialist AI video firms. It points to a core model it calls V5.6 and a newer system branded R1.

In January 2026, the company launched R1, which it describes as a real-time video generation model that produces a continuously responsive stream reacting to user input.

PixVerse says V5.6 has been independently benchmarked by Artificial Analysis, which tracks and compares generative AI systems. As of February 28, 2026, it says V5.6 ranked second globally for both image-to-video and text-to-video generation on that platform.

According to the company, V5.6 uses a proprietary Diffusion Transformer architecture and generates 1080p video in under a minute. It also cites audio-visual synchronisation, multi-character coherence, and prompt adherence.

Wang said the company's approach prioritises interaction as well as quality.

"At PixVerse, we are not just advancing video quality. We are reconstructing how people interact with content. When your input can change the direction of a video in under a hundredth of a second, the creative act shifts entirely. AI video set out to make creation universal. We are building toward something bigger," Wang said. "Everyone can build their own world."

Investor view

Antler said PixVerse combines AI research with a product designed for creators.

"PixVerse is building one of the most exciting platforms in generative video. The team has combined world-class AI research with an intuitive product that helps creators create content that resonates and spreads. By helping creators generate truly viral moments, PixVerse is unlocking a new wave of creativity on the internet. We're thrilled to support them as they continue to scale globally," said Fady Abdel-Nour, General Partner at Antler.

PixVerse has teams across Asia and the US and plans to use the funding to expand internationally and pursue enterprise markets in North America and Asia.
