Zellis has been recognised as a leader in Digital Payroll Capability and Extended Services Capability in the NelsonHall Payroll Services NEAT Assessment 2024.

NelsonHall, a prominent global analyst firm, provides guidance to organisations undergoing digital operations transformation. The firm's annual Vendor Evaluation and Assessment Tool (NEAT) assesses payroll service vendors based on their ability to deliver immediate benefits and anticipate future customer needs. Vendors are classified into four categories: Leaders, High Achievers, Innovators, and Major Players, with scores derived from extensive market analysis and customer feedback.

Zellis has been identified as a Leader in Digital Payroll Capability, thanks to the short- and long-term advantages delivered to its payroll services customers. NelsonHall attributed this recognition to Zellis's specific competencies in digitalising and transforming payroll operations. Additionally, in the Extended Services Capability category, Zellis was designated as a Leader due to its capacity to provide payroll services alongside complementary HR services.

The research highlighted several strengths of Zellis in the payroll sector, including its profound market expertise and its managed service offering, described as highly resilient, scalable, and capable of supporting complex customer needs. NelsonHall also praised Zellis's dedication to fostering flexible payroll processes through the incorporation of AI advancements, such as automated payroll anomaly management that enhances accuracy and efficiency.

Liz Rennie, NelsonHall's HR & Talent Transformation Research Director, remarked, "Zellis was identified as a Leader in the Digital Payroll Capability and Extended Services Capability market segments due to the breadth of its payroll service and extended offerings supporting all sizes of organisations with a particular focus on enriching payroll operations with AI capability. Recent investments in its cloud-native platform coupled with its rich payroll knowledge base enable it to deliver a robust real-time payroll service with AI-enabled automation for its clients."

This recognition from NelsonHall follows a period of extensive industry acknowledgment for Zellis, which includes accolades such as Payroll Software Supplier of the Year at the Global Payroll Association Awards, Payroll and HR Software Provider of the Year, and Payroll Service Provider of the Year at The Rewards, as well as CIPP Software Product of the Year.

Abigail Vaughan, Chief Operating Officer at Zellis, expressed her satisfaction with the company's placement, stating, "Having contributed to this valuable research for the first time, we're delighted to see Zellis positioned as an industry leader for both digital payroll and extended services capability. This is a true testament to our unrivalled market expertise and commitment to innovation, and it follows a remarkable few months in which Zellis has also won several major industry accolades."
