KPMG UK partners with Multiverse for new AI skills programme
Multiverse has commenced a new artificial intelligence training programme for KPMG UK. The initiative aims to enhance digital capabilities across the firm, starting with a group of 134 employees drawn from all levels within KPMG UK's Advisory business. Participants will develop their understanding of AI applications in business and work towards a formal qualification.
Programmeme scope
The training includes employees from junior roles through to partners, reflecting a company-wide effort to boost AI literacy. This diverse participation is intended to support widespread adoption of AI tools and practices, not only improving internal efficiencies but also the services provided to clients. The move aligns with broader plans to help clients navigate technological change in both public and private sectors.
Qualification pathway
Learners will enter Multiverse's Level 4 AI for Business Value programme. The curriculum is designed to equip participants with practical knowledge in using AI strategically within business contexts, for example, identifying new revenue opportunities and supporting data-driven decisions. Those who complete the programme will achieve a formal qualification, recognisable within the industry.
Client services impact
KPMG UK expects the new skills will help its Advisory team deliver more informed advice for organisations adopting AI. The company hopes this investment in digital skills will improve client outcomes and position the business to address growing demand for responsible deployment of AI solutions. The additional proficiency is also intended to create measurable business impact for both KPMG UK and its clients.
Leadership perspective
"The potential for AI to transform our industry is really exciting, both in terms of the way we deliver our services to our clients, and in how we help shape what our clients themselves are thinking and doing. So it's really important that we continue to upskill our people at all levels, from the most senior to those who are just starting their career," said Lisa Fernihough, Head of Advisory, KPMG UK.
"By offering this enhanced training programme with Multiverse, it means that our people have the chance to develop their AI skills and receive a formal qualification that will showcase their skills in the emerging AI space, meaning we remain ahead of the curve for innovation and leading consultancy services," said Fernihough.
Supplier view
Multiverse is providing the training and qualification as part of its portfolio of on-the-job learning and upskilling services, which focus on AI and digital literacy. The company has worked with over 1,500 firms to date and has delivered training to more than 20,000 apprentices in related fields since 2016.
"KPMG UK is built on a foundation of strategic business transformation practises for its customers and its own team development. By embracing increased AI capabilities from junior to senior levels of the business, employees are more equipped than ever to provide informed AI-focused services, while the deployment of AI tools internally will save hours of time spent on manual tasks," said Gary Eimerman, Chief Learning Officer, Multiverse.
