MojoTip partners with Ecommpay to make digital tips & payouts real-time
MojoTip has partnered with Ecommpay to scale its digital tipping and payout platform, aiming to simplify cashless tipping for service professionals across Europe and beyond. The collaboration supports rapid expansion, real-time payouts, and a broad range of payment methods as MojoTip looks to reach a more diverse user base.
Digital tipping
MojoTip offers a platform that allows customers to tip workers such as delivery drivers and social media influencers using cards, mobile wallets, or open banking. Service professionals can then manage, track, and withdraw their tips instantly to personal bank accounts or payment cards. There is no requirement for customers or workers to download an app or wait for manual processing.
Technical integration
Following initial trials, MojoTip explored partnerships with several payment service providers (PSPs). These attempts resulted in delays and technical difficulties, affecting the introduction of key product features. Ecommpay was ultimately chosen for its ability to provide a unified payment solution that could be customised to MojoTip's operational requirements and scaled across multiple markets.
Customised solution
The implementation process involved Ecommpay working closely with MojoTip's technical team to design a payment setup tailored to the platform's real-time tipping model. The integration enabled a seamless interface with API-driven payment functionality and supported a variety of local and international payment methods.
Integration was completed within three months. Ecommpay's infrastructure allowed MojoTip to enable instant payouts, resulting in immediate access to earnings for service professionals and notable improvements in cash flow flexibility.
