Waracle and its Chief Executive Officer, David Tuck, have received a series of business and technology awards. Tuck was named to The LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders list.

Waracle was also selected as a 2026 Trailblazer by WIRED Consulting and HSBC Commercial Banking, and was named a finalist in the Financial Services Innovation category at the Scottish Financial Technology Awards.

The recognition comes as Waracle reports continued growth across its consultancy business. It has a team of more than 330 people working from offices in London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Sofia, serving clients in health, financial services, energy and the public sector.

Tuck's inclusion on the LDC list places him among 50 entrepreneurs and business leaders chosen from 650 nominations. The programme, run by investor LDC in partnership with The Times, highlights leaders judged on growth, innovation, investment in staff and contribution to the wider UK economy.

According to LDC, the businesses led by this year's Top 50 generate a combined £1.4 billion in annual revenue and employ almost 8,500 people across 55 towns and cities.

Waracle recorded 30% turnover growth in 2025 and says it has sustained that pace in 2026 with more than 30% organic revenue growth. It also secured ten major new clients across the private and public sectors and added more than 100 employees.

The consultancy develops digital products for organisations including ScottishPower Energy Networks, Royal London, Roche and People's Partnership. It has also expanded through acquisitions, buying cloud and data services consultancy Inov8 and Bulgaria-based HackSoft.

Growth plans

Waracle is targeting 500 employees across the UK and Bulgaria and £60 million in revenue by 2028. Those ambitions are driving expansion in both its workforce and service offering, particularly in data and artificial intelligence.

Waracle says its recognition in the WIRED Trailblazers programme reflects its work delivering digital products, data and AI services for UK organisations. The programme identifies small and medium-sized businesses considered to be reshaping standards in their industries.

The Scottish Financial Technology Awards nomination relates to Waracle's work with pension and savings partner Mylo from Aegon on a project titled 'Postcards from tomorrow'. The Financial Services Innovation category recognises established financial services businesses using technology to improve operations, innovation or organisational change.

The finalist list places Waracle alongside BlackRock, JP Jenkins and Lloyds Banking Group in the category.

Tuck linked the awards to the firm's work and client base.

"Ambition is easy to claim and harder to demonstrate. For us, it shows up in our digital product work, where the standards are exceptionally high. To be recognised for ambition, trailblazing and innovation at the same time is a credit to our people, and to our clients who trust us with their products," said David Tuck, Chief Executive Officer at Waracle.

LDC Managing Partner John Garner commented on the broader group of leaders selected this year.

"What stands out about this year's LDC Top 50 is not only what these leaders have already achieved, but their determination to keep moving forward. Across the UK, they are finding new opportunities, investing in their people and building for the future. I congratulate every leader featured this year and wish them continued success," he said.

Tuck has spent 25 years in the technology consulting sector and has held roles at Gartner, Thoughtworks, Scott Logic, The App Business and Kin + Carta.

For Waracle, the latest awards provide external recognition as it seeks to scale its consulting business further in the UK and Bulgaria, deepen its work in data and AI, and expand a client list that already includes major corporate and public sector organisations.
