Dashmote raises $6 million to launch AI agent for field sales
Dashmote has raised $6 million in a Series A1 fundraising round to support the development and launch of DashSalesAI, a mobile-focused generative agent for field sales.
The funding round was co-led by Blossom Street Ventures, a United States-based venture capital firm, and Rabobank, a Netherlands-headquartered financial institution focused on the food and agriculture sector. With this latest investment, Dashmote's total funding to date stands at $14 million.
Product focus
The company plans to use the new capital to accelerate the development of DashSalesAI, grow its team, and expand its presence in the United States market. DashSalesAI is an artificial intelligence agent built on advances in large language models (LLMs), and it is designed to automate key sales processes for professionals working outside traditional office settings.
The new solution is a virtual sales assistant that manages lead generation, outreach, and account management tasks. It integrates with mobile-first platforms, including WhatsApp and Dashmote's proprietary location analytics service, enabling field sales representatives to access lead suggestions, client overviews, and prepared talking points via a chat-based interface. This approach is intended to help teams enhance prospecting efficiency, manage accounts, and complete deals while on the move.
"Field sales has been underserved by advances in automation, despite representing one of the largest and most critical revenue engines for global companies," said Sammy Abdullah, Managing Partner, Blossom Street Ventures.
Abdullah continued, "Dashmote is pioneering a new category by arming reps in the field with real-time intelligence and autonomous support, fundamentally changing how deals are sourced and closed. With its proven traction and unique data advantage, we see Dashmote as a company positioned to reshape field sales at scale."
Data and automation
DashSalesAI is built on a database that compiles millions of venue profiles across sectors such as food delivery, eCommerce, social media, and mapping platforms. This global dataset enables the AI to convert large volumes of unstructured information into actionable insights. The platform highlights market trends, suggests outreach strategies tailored to specific opportunities, and moves beyond simple analytics to provide autonomous sales assistance.
Dennis Tan, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dashmote, commented on the product's practical design. "Unlike traditional office chatbots, DashSalesAI is built for the realities of field sales," he said. "We designed it to understand the rhythm of a rep's day in the field, from planning morning routes to capturing insights after the last meeting. By leveraging LLMs to take on time-consuming tasks such as drafting outreach, researching venues, and logging visits, DashSalesAI allows reps to focus on what matters most: strengthening customer relationships and accelerating revenue."
Industry partnerships and broader applicability
Dashmote's customer base includes international consumer goods companies such as Coca-Cola, Nestlé, and AB InBev. These organisations have started to incorporate DashSalesAI into their sales processes, with field staff using the platform to identify nearby prospects, receive daily updates, and prepare communications in real time. Early feedback from users describes DashSalesAI as a dependable support agent for sales personnel.
While the company's initial focus has been on the food and beverage industry, Dashmote reports that DashSalesAI is also being adopted by professionals in sectors such as medical technology, pharmaceuticals, and real estate. The AI's features, which aim to provide timely intelligence and support for professionals engaged in direct, face-to-face interactions, have found applications in both physical and digital sales domains. E-commerce and online sales teams use Dashmote's technology to refine digital storefronts and execute localised outreach strategies.
Dashmote was founded in Amsterdam in 2015. Its core platform facilitates the conversion of unstructured data into insights for sales, strategy, and marketing teams, originally targeting the food and beverage industry. Data for its services is gathered from sources including food delivery services and digital maps, allowing clients to identify opportunities, manage online channels, and expand their market presence.
Clients of Dashmote, including AB-Inbev, Coca-Cola, and Nestlé, use the firm's tools to improve sales efficiency and strategic planning. Dashmote has operations in more than 50 countries, with offices in Amsterdam, New York, and Shanghai, and is supported by investors from the US and Asia.
